Notably, Air India offered a nonstop flight from Chicago ORD to Hyderabad earlier but it still remains suspended. Although Hyderabadis living in the USA have raised requests for nonstop flights time and again, the airline hasn’t yet made any announcement regarding a direct connection between Hyderabad and USA. Continue reading to know why nonstop flights from USA to Hyderabad are not just desirable but the need of the hour.

Competition and Market Potential
According to a frequent flyer with Indian Eagle travel, airlines such as Emirates and Qatar Airways hold a prominent position in the Hyderabad-USA market through their connecting flight services. Although these airlines deliver world-class services, they fall short of the convenience provided by nonstop flights. With the introduction of Air India direct flights from USA to Hyderabad, the airline has the potential to secure a substantial portion of this market. Indian airlines are increasingly becoming favored for their enhanced in-flight services. The recent upgrades to Air India fleet and its focus on passenger-centric initiatives make it well-positioned to operate this route efficiently.
We believe the time is ripe for Air India to launch nonstop flights to Hyderabad from USA. The increasing significance of the city as a global hub positions it as a vital destination for tourists. Fully agree and support the proposal. Had to travel to Bengaluru to take the connecting flight to SFO. Taking the SFO- New Delhi – Hyd on return. We would be happy if Air India seriously takes up the proposal.
Thank you so much for your article. My suggestion is Atlanta to Hyderabad or Atlanta to Bombay as we have more than 2 lakh families. We have 2 lakh voters in this state. We do have Qatar and British and Eithad is starting in July. We sent several letters to the deaf ears of AirIndia. They need to wakeup and do something from this city. We will be happy if they consider from Atl to Delhi which is a great choice. Demand is high and make best use of it AirIndia. We requested through India Ambassodor to India and with our consulate in Atlanta as well
Dallas will have the highest demand to Hyderabad, and other major cities like Atlanta, DC, New Jersey, Chicago, LAX, SFO etc will also be apt.
Nothing happens from Air India, as they have a long way to go to fix operational issues than the delivery of new aircrafts.
Air India is projecting itself as a premium airline to the likes of Swiss Air, Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways. Unless the seats are fixed, seat video monitors working, sumptuous food served, they will still continue to be a low end of its class, but with higher fares.
Even if they start direct flights, they have plans to charge premium fares, without improving their food quality.
