Whether you are traveling to India or across the country, there are high chances that you might consider flying with Air India. If you are a loyal customer of this iconic carrier, here’s something you must know.

Grounded Planes Are Being Restored by Air India Engineering Services

New owners of Air India, the Tata Group, have plans to renew the budget airline’s planes and therefore renovate these for commercial operations. At present, the airline has numerous narrow body and several widebody aircrafts that were grounded as they were lacking engine overhaul or due to the unavailability of some components and spares. But soon they will resume operations as the authorities are taking care of these issues.

This restoration would also help increase the capacity of passengers in the coming months. As the private airlines are dominating the airline sector by increasing their capacity and fleet size, Air India’s graph in domestic travel has been slowly decreasing. But it is to be noted that Tata Group is working to improve and re-establish the carrier’s presence both on the domestic and international market.

Nearly eight or ten A320 aircrafts are possibly under restoration at the hangars of Air India Engineering Services.
