Air India is all set to launch a new service between San Francisco and New Delhi on December 2, 2015 to support frequent travel by IT professionals. The airline will be operating three weekly flights on the new route. The aircraft Boeing 777-200LR will be deployed to operate the non-stop flights between New Delhi and San Francisco. As per the latest information about Air India baggage allowance available on the official website, you can carry 2 pieces of check-in baggage with a maximum weight of 23 kgs or 50 pounds each. The sum of the three dimensions (length, width and height) of each check bag should not be more than 107 inches. Also, the linear dimension of each bag’s wheels and grips should not exceed more than 62 inches.
On Air India’s Economy class flights from San Francisco to Delhi, infants will be allowed to carry one piece of check-in baggage which should not exceed 10 kg or 22 lbs in weight. The sum of the three dimensions (length, breadth and height) should not exceed the size limit that is 45 inches or 115 centimeters.
