1.Gunrock Hill, Secunderabad:

It is also an unofficial heritage site whose pinnacle houses the historic Gunrock Cantonment and a centuries-old water tank that supplied water to the area. There is a stairway plus a steep stony path along the boulders to the top of the hill. Needless to say, the adventurers take the offbeat route and traverse the steep rocks for that feeling of accomplishment they crave for. 2.Venkateshwara Gutta, Shamirpet:

Shamirpet, a suburb of Hyderabad is a popular weekend destination with multiple resorts, a beautiful artificial lake, and a deer park. A hill just beyond the lake is what grabs the attention of adventures and it has gradually become one of the best trekking places in Hyderabad. Named as Venkateshwara Gutta (hill) due to the presence of an ancient Venkateshwara Swamy temple on the summit of the hill, the trek to the hillock encountering the birds, rock formations, little ponds, and green hills is a sight to the eyes! A green rocky path turns even greener, rockier and steeper after crossing a reservoir! Once you reach the top, visit the temple and spend a peaceful morning/ evening hearing the music composed by temple bells and birds.

3.Ananthagiri Hills, Vikarabad:

Ananthagiri Hills is a place for adventure, religious, and nature tourism. While the unscathed beauty of the cozy hill station attracts nature lovers, the multiple adventurous options like trekking, rock climbing, rappelling, and night camping lure the adventure junkies. Also, the 400-year old Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple on the hilltop is a popular holy site. There are two trekking routes through the woods, one starting at the temple and the other starting about a half kilometer from the temple towards Kerelli. The trek through the thick jungle offers scenic vistas of lush green hills, freshwater streams, lakes, and waterfalls. The sunset from the viewpoint on the hills is just unmissable!

4.Golconda Fort Trek:

While your enthusiasm carries you forward on any difficult trekking trail, the history and architecture of the legendary Golconda fort would keep you going to the top of the fort. The strenuous trek involves steep paths, hundreds of stone steps, and climbing little rocks. Of course, there are benches to rest for a while and take in the architecture of the fort. Discover the minimizing city at different stages of your trek and the sweeping views of the surrounding city when you reach the top! 5.Moula Ali Hill, Nacharam:

If you are a beginner looking for an easy trek in Hyderabad, Moula Ali Hill is the option for you! It is a dome-shaped hill with a hilltop Dargah and thus is a popular religious site for Muslims. The stairway of 400 steps leads you to the Dargah, which is one of the 11 heritage sites identified by HUDA (Heritage conservation committee).  After you burn some calories trekking to the top, you will be greeted by the breathtaking views of the sunset and a bird’s eye view of Hyderabad city shimmering in lights at night!
