Trek the Ananthagiri Hills:

Ananthagiri Hills is one of the best trekking places in Hyderabad, known to offer picturesque views, great bird watching experience (the area is home to 270 species of birds), and peaceful camping sites. Visit Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple:

Also known as Ananthagiri temple, it is the main attraction in Ananthagiri Hills. In fact, the hills are named ‘Ananthagiri’ after this temple. It is one of the famous temples in Telangana dedicated to Lord Vishnu, who is worshipped here in the form of Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy. According to Hindu scriptures, the temple is installed by Rishi Markandeya in Dwapara Yuga. However, the construction of the main temple was commissioned some 400 years ago by Nizam Nawab, and this temple stands as a symbol of religious harmony.

Kayaking the Nagasamudram Lake:

Located at a distance of around 15-20 km from the Ananthagiri hills, Nagasamundram Lake or Kotipally reservoir is a soothing spot perfect for spending some ‘me-time’ amid nature. You can enjoy picnicking and camping by the lake, or go kayaking or boating along the lake during sunset hours and let the tranquility of the lake and the beauty of the sunset consume you! You’ll also find several food stalls around the lake in case you wish to gorge on some snacks after your kayaking experience!
