Air India is unstoppable! The airline is adamant to become one of the leading carriers in the world. With addition of new destinations, increase in flight frequency and expansion of its fleet, Air India is on the right track. The Air India new order of 100 more Airbus aircraft further showcases its ambition to dominate the aviation sector.
Air India ordered 90 Airbus A320neos and 10 Airbus A350 aircraft. This brings Air India’s total Airbus aircraft order to 344. It includes 140 Air India Airbus A320neos, 70 A321neos, six Airbus A350-900, and 34 Airbus A350-1000 jets, which was confirmed at the Paris Air Show in June last year. Notably, Air India also received the delivery of six Airbus A350-900 aircraft which were originally ordered by Aeroflot.
How will Air India new order improve its connectivity?
Air India’s new order of 100 more Airbus aircraft will not just improve domestic but international connectivity. 90 new Air India Airbus A320neo aircraft will likely enhance domestic operations. The A320neos are renowned for their fuel efficiency and advanced technology. This makes the aircraft perfect for short or medium-haul flights.

The 10 new Air India Airbus A350 aircraft will be deployed for long-haul flights on international routes. The airline is already operating its existing A350s on several popular routes. The Airbus A350 aircraft are designed for comfort and efficiency, becoming a passenger-favorite in no time.
