If the permissible weight is exceeded, you will be charged $150 for an overweight bag. As per US Airways’ baggage policy for the Economy Class travelers to India, the ideal size of a checked bag is 62 inches (157 cm). An oversized bag will cost additional $175.
US Airways’ baggage policy for the First and Business Class travelers to Asian countries including India permits bags of total weight in the range of 71-100 lbs. An overweight bag will cost additional $175 on the same route. However, US Airway’s checked baggage allowance differs in case of frequent travelers.
