The National Hurricane Center has warned that tropical storm Nicole is likely to reach Florida today. So, expect heavy rains, high waves, storm surges, strong tropical storms, and hurricane-force winds in the area. To minimize destruction and to avert any potential problems, authorities plan to stop flights from some major airports in the USA until further notice. Also, people who have booked flights to USA to these affected areas are advised to change their schedules as per the storm conditions in the region.

Due to the strong tropical storm, residents have been instructed to move away from barrier islands, low-lying areas, and mobile homes in Florida. This approaching storm is expected to endanger properties and life. In this region, many areas are still overwhelmed by the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian, which made landfall as a Category 4 storm on Florida’s southwestern Gulf Coast in late September before dumping heavy rain across much of the state’s central region. Heavy rain is expected to fall on areas still recovering from Ian’s flooding, according to forecasters. The National Hurricane Center’s Advisory stated that tropical storm force winds extend up to 610 km from the storm’s center.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami also issued a hurricane warning for Grand Bahama Island, Berry Islands, Abacos, and Bimini. Tropical storm warnings remained in effect for other areas of the Bahamas, including Eleuthera, New Province, and Andros Island. So, authorities warned that as the storm approaches, some airports like Orlando International Airport and seaports will close and will only resume operations when it is safe to do so.

So, if you have plans to visit any of these places in the USA during this time or if your flight is already booked, make sure to stay updated on the weather reports to change your flight schedules as needed. And plan to book your international flights to USA only when the storm has weakened and it is safe to travel again to the affected areas.

New York is just as happening at night as during the day, if not more so. All the five boroughs get all glammed up to welcome the New York nightlife seekers for an unforgettable nightlife experience. A wave of zest sweeps through the city as night falls on it; entertainment never ends in this city that never sleeps. Clubbing and partying may dominate the nightlife scene of New York, but that is not all.

From hip underground bars, swanky pubs, and jazz clubs to late-night theatres, sports, live comedy and music venues, you have a great variety of nightlife places in New York to pick for your nocturnal adventure. Here’s what you can do after hours in NYC.

Sneak into a Speakeasy:

Thousands of speakeasies sprung in New York during the Prohibition, and even after nearly 9 decades of its repeal, the speakeasy-inspired bars with secret entrances are still a thing. Be it PDT (Please Don’t Tell) which requires you to enter through a telephone booth or The Back Room that serves cocktails in cups and wraps beer bottles in paper bags, these watering holes introduce you to the underground culture of the Roaring Twenties and offer a unique experience of New York nightlife.

Go bowling at Brooklyn Bowl:

Bowling alley, live music, great drinks, and good food – Brooklyn Bowl situated in Williamsburg has them all. One of the popular New York nightlife hotspots, you’ll see all kinds of people here, from the players immersed in knocking down the pins to those cutting a rug on the floor right next to these bowling lanes, from the audience enjoying musical acts to those filling their stomachs with good food and draught beer brewed within Brooklyn. So, go blend in the crowd and have fun after the sun goes down.

Watch a Broadway Show:

New York nightlife largely means late-night plays and musicals on Broadway for all theatre lovers. The Theatre District lined with 40 Broadway theatres is the go-to destination to dedicate your whole night to binge-watching theatrical performances. Since the tickets for the most successful shows like The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Les Misérables, Lion King, etc., sell like hotcakes, you need to get them early. Book your show tickets in advance and never miss the remarkable Broadway performances. At the same time, book your flight tickets in advance so as not to miss out on the cheapest deals to New York.

Late night movie at Film Forum:

The only autonomous nonprofit cinema in New York, Film Forum is a haven for real movie buffs (who look beyond mainstream movies screened at multiplexes). This four-screen Manhattan movie house entertains its patrons 365 days a year with thoughtfully curated programs ranging from American independents and foreign art house films to repertory selections, including American and foreign classics, documentaries, directors’ retrospectives, and festivals. Celebrate your love for movies with fellow cinephiles at this legendary cinema that’s been running since 1970.

Not in the mood for a party? Seeking something laid-back? Well, when you do not feel like being an active part of the New York nightlife but simply want to catch the vibe of this vibrant city, hop on a bus that takes you on a sightseeing tour at night. US Guided Tours, a popular tour operator, covers a lot of ground during its 4.5-hour guided night tour of New York’s top attractions, including Times Square, High Line Park, Pier 17, Grand Central Terminal, Chelsea Piers, Chinatown, Greenwich Village, the Empire State Building. This 100-year-old stately building constructed with sandstone and different marbles (such as red marble from Georgia, gray marble from Alaska, green marble from Vermont, and black marble from Italy) boasts a long history and legacy. The architecture is inspired by the iconic architectural styles of Rome’s St. Peter’s Basilica, London’s St Paul’s Cathedral, and Washington’s U.S. Capitol. A five-foot statue of a bronze eagle sits on the top of the impressive dome, making the building 63 m tall. History and architecture enthusiasts can discover more about this “Capitol of Light” by joining a guided tour.

Julia Davis Park:
