Emirates Is Designing A Brand-New First Class Suite

After revealing plans for longer economy class seats, Emirates has now turned its focus to premium cabins. The airline is designing brand-new first class suites for its Airbus A380 fleet. These developments highlight Emirates’ commitment to both budget and luxury travelers. The new Emirates first class cabin on the Boeing 777-300ER, featuring a Mercedes-Benz-inspired design has already earned praise for elevating inflight comfort and style.

Emirates Airlines’ president, Sir Tim Clark, announced the new A380 first-class suites during the IATA Annual General Meeting & World Air Transport Summit 2025 in Delhi. The move aims to keep the iconic A380 aircraft relevant well into the 2030s.

New Emirates First Class Suites

Emirates fleet of iconic A380 aircraft will have a luxury overhaul. The new first class suites will be inspired by Emirates Boeing 777 ‘Game Changer’. Emirates will bring the enclosed, floor-to-ceiling suites to the new A380 first class. The design will shift from the current 1-2-1 setup to a layout with three wider suites per row on the upper deck. Middle suites may allow couples to sit together, which is similar to Lufthansa’s Allegris concept.

Emirates Business Class Upgrade

Emirates is also considering adding doored business class seats. These will mirror the private cabins planned for the Boeing 777X. With these changes, Emirates is aiming for higher privacy and comfort across premium cabins.

Apart from this, a soft refresh is already in progress for Emirates fleet of Airbus A380 aircraft. Gold tones and dark woods are being replaced with cream leather and muted shades. Emirates passengers can expect taller seat walls, a “yacht‑style” social bar, and upgraded shower suites with UAE‑inspired décor. Lighting and carpet upgrades aim to add warmth to the cabin. Furthermore, faster, satellite-powered Wi-Fi on Emirates flights is becoming standard for Skywards members.
