Banking on the growing travel demand to USA from Asia, Qatar Airways and American Airlines are expanding their operations from Doha to major US cities. Together, the airlines will operate around 112 weekly flights to the USA next summer. When including Canadian routes to Montreal, the total rises to 124 weekly flights. This marks one of the highest levels of flight operations between Doha and the US in recent years.
Qatar Airways hub at Hamad International Airport connects to more than a dozen Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kochi. With the airline’s growing US network, passengers from India now have more flexibility when traveling to cities such as New York, Dallas, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles.
The Expanded Qatar Airways and American Airlines US Schedule
In the new schedule, Qatar Airways flights will be available on 14 routes across the US. Flights to New York (JFK) will operate 18 times a week, mainly using Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Dallas/Fort Worth and Washington Dulles will each see two daily flights, while Miami will operate ten weekly services on the A350-1000.
Other destinations such as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle will be servedc daily. The aircraft used on these routes include the A350-1000, A350-900, and Boeing 777-300ER. Additionally, American Airlines-Qatar Airways strategic partnership under the oneworld alliance, continues to operate flights between Doha and Philadelphia using the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
