Now, the first flagship Air India Maharaja Lounge at Delhi Airport is set to revolutionize pre-flight passenger experience. 

The Flagship Maharaja Lounge at Terminal 3 will open to passengers from 16 February 2026. This lounge marks an important step in the airline’s strategy to elevate its premium travel offerings and make its ground services more competitive with global carriers.  During the renovation period, eligible Air India passengers primarily used the Encalm Prive lounge and the Encalm lounge at Delhi Airport.

About the First Flagship Air India Maharaja Lounge at Delhi Airport

The Maharaja Lounge spans approximately 16,000 square feet and can accommodate around 300 guests across distinct sections designed for First Class and Business Class travelers. It also welcomes Gold and Platinum Maharaja Club members and eligible Star Alliance elite passengers, reflecting Air India’s global network and alliance partnerships.

The design of the first flagship Air India Maharaja Lounge at Delhi Airport blends elements of Indian heritage with modern aesthetics. This creates a distinctive look and feel that represents the carrier’s identity and hospitality ethos. Delhi’s Air India Maharaja Lounge includes thoughtfully designed spaces like The Aviator’s Bar, styled with a speakeasy theme, and The Globetrotter’s Study, a calm spot for reading or work with books, power outlets, and Wi-Fi. The Serenity Area includes comfortable recliners for additional rest.

Facilities for First Class Passengers at Air India Maharaja Lounge 

First Class passengers traveling on Air India flights receive access to an exclusive area within the lounge that includes the Crystal Bar, known for premium drinks and relaxed ambiance. 

In addition, Air India First Class passengers also have access to seating and dining areas with panoramic views of the tarmac, offering a front-row seat to aircraft movements. Separate private rest or sleep suits are available for First Class guests. These help travelers catch rest before early long-haul departures. 

How to access the flagship Air India Maharaja Lounge at Delhi Airport? 

You can access the flagship Air India Maharaja Lounge after completing immigration and security checks for your international departure. The lounge is located at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport, in the international departures area airside.

Access is available to Air India First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as Star Alliance Gold members traveling on Air India or partner airlines. Entry may also be offered through paid access or eligible lounge programs, subject to availability and lounge policies on the day of travel.
