Air India ranked fourth among the world’s most on-time airlines in June 2026, according to aviation analytics firm Cirium. The airline recorded an on-time arrival rate of 86.85% across 15,135 tracked flights. It also achieved an on-time departure rate of 86.23% and a completion factor of 99.7%. The airline says the result reflects its continued efforts to improve punctuality, operational reliability and schedule management across its domestic and international network.

What Does On-Time Performance Mean?

Cirium considers a flight on time when it arrives at the airport gate within 15 minutes of its scheduled arrival time. The company analyzes flight information from hundreds of real-time data sources to compare the operational performance of airlines worldwide. Air India’s 86.85% on-time arrival rate means that nearly nine out of every ten tracked flights reached the gate within the accepted time limit during June 2026.
