Bengaluru Airport gets a beautiful new terminal T2, which is all set for its grand inauguration on 11 November by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Terminal 2 will increase the passenger capacity of the Kempegowda International Airport by 25 million now (in its first phase) and a further 20 million per annum at the end of its phase-2 construction (which is still at the planning stage at present).

Furnished with about 90 check-in counters, 60 immigration counters, 22 security checkpoints, and 9 baggage claim areas, the all-new Terminal 2 at Bengaluru Airport is expected to ease congestion at the busiest airport in South India, and thus enhance passenger experience.

What is more interesting about BLR Airport’s sprawling Terminal 2 is its aesthetic appeal. Designed in line with Bengaluru’s image as the Garden City, the new terminal features landscaped gardens, artificial waterfalls, a huge outdoor garden built around a lagoon, elevated walkways, and green seating areas among others. The entire terminal building is decorated with all things beautiful and pretty. This terminal is a melting pot of sustainability, indigenous technology, innovation, art, and culture.

Apart from its visual highlights and passenger facilities, T2 is also equipped with 5G internet connectivity. At this point, BLR Airport proudly holds the distinction of being the only airport in India so far, to offer 5G access to its passengers. Airtel SIM users can enjoy ultra-fast 5G services during their wait time at Terminal 2 of Bengaluru Airport.
