Air India and Vistara Merger Update

Amidst the anticipation of regulatory approval by 2025, Air India and Vistara have confirmed that their boards will remain distinct for an additional year. As the merger moves through regulatory procedures, operational integration is expected to happen slowly throughout 2024.

With 18 more A350-900s to be integrated, Air India’s ambitious plan involves a total of 20 A350-900s. The airline had initially sought a mix of A350-1000s and A350-900s but later opted for a uniform order of 20 A350-900s and 20 A350-1000s. This emphasizes flexibility and modernization in its long-haul fleet.
