Only Himachal Pradesh among the 28 states is yet to receive an SIR schedule. The Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are also awaiting separate SIR schedules. The Election Commission has said their schedule will be announced later after considering Census activities and weather conditions.

The SIR last date depends entirely on your state’s phase in the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision programme. While many states completed the exercise in earlier phases, Phase III states are currently following different timelines based on the official schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why Does Every State Have a Different SIR Last Date?
The Election Commission conducts the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in phases to ensure smooth implementation. Each state’s timeline depends on factors such as staff availability, weather conditions, administrative planning, and upcoming elections. As a result, the SIR last date is different for every state.

After the submission deadline, election officials verify the collected data and publish the draft electoral roll. Voters can then check their details, submit claims or objections if needed, and wait for the verification process to be completed before the final electoral roll is published.

Which states have the SIR deadline of 24 July 2026?
Andhra Pradesh and Haryana have extended deadlines until 24 July 2026. Telangana and Punjab are also scheduled to complete their house-to-house verification by 24 July under the Phase III timetable.

Which states are currently in Phase III?
Phase III includes Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttarakhand, and the National Capital Territory of Delhi.

Which states have not yet received an SIR schedule?
As of the latest ECI notification, only Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh are awaiting a separate SIR schedule.
