Air India has announced a temporary rationalisation of services across several international routes from June to August 2026. The airline said the decision comes in response to continued airspace restrictions in certain regions and record high jet fuel prices affecting international operations.

According to the airline, these measures are intended to improve network stability and reduce last-minute inconvenience to passengers during a challenging operational period.

Despite the temporary reductions, Air India will continue operating more than 1,200 international flights per month. Its network will still connect five continents with regular services to North America, Europe, the UK, Australia, Southeast Asia, the Far East, SAARC countries, and Mauritius.

The airline stated that affected passengers will receive support through alternative flight options, free date changes, or full refunds, where applicable. Customers can also contact Air India’s 24×7 support centre and digital channels for assistance.
