Air India is expanding; its fleet and network. The airline is likely planning to enhance its operations to the USA by operating the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Seattle and Los Angeles can be the most likely destinations for the first Air India Boeing 787-9 flights. This move by Air India marks a significant upgrade in passenger experience and operational efficiency. 

Travel Diary aviation news updated you in 2023 about Air India’s historic order of 470 aircraft, including 220 Boeing jets. Among these are 20 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, equipped with General Electric GEnX-1B engines. Currently, three of these aircraft are in production at Boeing’s Charleston, South Carolina facility. Air India anticipates the delivery of its first Air India B787-9 by the end of this year. 

Air India New US Destinations: Seattle and Los Angeles

As per a post shared on the airline’s official X account (formerly Twitter) on March 9, Air India has unveiled plans to launch flights to Seattle and Los Angeles. The post featured a video showcasing Air India new US destinations, with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner prominently highlighted. Notably, the airline got the Air Carrier Operating Permit (ACOP) last year. However, operations to LAX haven’t started yet. Los Angeles to Delhi is likely the new route and shall take flight once operational issues are resolved.
