Indigo is one of the top airlines in India and had a passenger volume of around 85.27 million in the financial year 2023. The low-cost carrier is leaving no stone unturned to not just enhance its domestic operations but also improve international connectivity. And in order to attract more business flyers, Indigo Airbus A321 aircraft will soon have a premium class cabin.
Dual-Class Configuration in 35 Indigo Airbus A321 Aircraft
The airline is likely to add up to eight rows of seats, two on each side. With this dual class configuration, it will likely move away from its traditional one-class model at least on some Indigo 6E flights. The Airbus A321 aircraft will provide the passengers with a comfortable journey with extra legroom space.
Indigo Airbus A321 aircraft will not just have a dual-class configuration but will also offer passengers with warm food. The airline is also expected to roll out its loyalty program by the end of next year.

It is also believed that after paying an additional amount, passengers will be able to enjoy flexibility in making changes to their itinerary, get complimentary in-flight food, and also receive priority boarding.
Indigo Eyeing to Increase International Flights
While Indigo is handling nearly 60% domestic passengers, the airline is aiming to increase its international operations as well. The addition of premium seats in Indigo Airbus A321 aircraft is a significant step towards this goal. The airline is also planning to include Airbus A321 XLR aircraft into its operations for longer routes. With this, the Indigo fleet will be capable of not just flying on shorter routes but also longer ones. In the coming years, Indigo aims to become a leader in offering international flights on popular routes.
