Months after Air India welcomed its first Airbus A350-900 in Delhi, another airline is ready to take delivery of the most coveted aircraft in the aviation industry. Emirates, one of the leading airlines in the world is expanding its fleet with modern jets. The airline has initially placed an order for 50 A350 aircraft at Dubai Airshow 2019. Emirates A350 order was again increased by an additional 15 jets at the 2023 Dubai Airshow. The airline is expected to begin operating its first Airbus A350 in August 2024.

Much to the delight of aviation enthusiasts, a social media post has offered a sneak-peek of Emirates first A350 900 aircraft at an Airbus’ facility in Toulouse. Although the aircraft is still believed to be in the early stages of assembly, the post showed the tail and a part of its fuselage.

A Glimpse of Emirates Airbus A350 at Toulouse

The Emirates A350 was seen at the aircraft manufacturer’s Toulouse facilities, alongside a series of similar jets being built for other airlines. In addition to Emirates, the A350s belonging to Delta Air Lines and Turkish Airlines were also spotted.

The first Emirates flight with Airbus A350 900 will likely take off in August this year. The airline will continue receiving the A350 jets from its order until 2028. This will mark a phased integration of these advanced aircraft into the Emirates fleet.

The Rise of Airbus A350 in Major Airlines’ Fleet

As of December last year, almost 578 A350 jets are in use across 44 operators. Airbus has apparently received orders of whopping 1,200 A350 jets. Now the addition of Airbus A350 to the Emirates fleet marks an exciting chapter in the airline’s journey toward modernization and expansion.

The Airbus A350 has been gaining popularity among major airlines across the world due to its advanced features and fuel efficiency.
