The Government of India also provides the 112 India mobile app for emergency assistance. Users can send an SOS alert with their GPS location and contact emergency services with a single tap. On supported devices, pressing the smartphone’s power button three times can trigger an emergency alert. The app also includes the SHOUT feature, which alerts nearby registered volunteers during emergencies involving women and children.
