For over 20 years, some families have been separated by borders, waiting for a chance to reunite. For millions more, the dream of living and working in the United States has been stalled by an immigration system that moves at a painfully slow pace. The Dignity Act of 2025, introduced by Representatives Maria Elvira Salazar and Veronica Escobar with bipartisan support, offers a new promise that seeks to end decades of uncertainty.

Currently, over 11 million people are caught in a visa backlog, a figure that reflects more than administrative delay; it represents years of missed opportunities, stalled careers, and family milestones missed. The bill’s vision is ambitious but clear: clear the backlog entirely by 2035 and ensure no applicant waits longer than 10 years for a visa. For those who have endured the long silence of the system, the Dignity Act represents hope in legislative form.

Key Provisions of the Dignity Act 2025

New Rules to Reduce Visa Backlogs

  • Wait times for immigration visas will be capped at 10 years.
  • Applicants waiting longer than 10 years can pay $20,000 (₹17.5 lakh) for priority processing.

Stricter Rules to Stop Repeat Illegal Crossings

  • Increased investment in border technology, physical barriers, and more border agents.
  • Most asylum cases are resolved within 60 days at special border processing centres.
  • Stricter measures to prevent repeated illegal border crossings.

Work Authorization Without Citizenship

  • For years, millions of undocumented immigrants have lived in legal uncertainty despite building their lives in the United States.
  • The new Dignity Program aims to change that by granting eligible long-term residents legal status.
  • Participants must pass strict background checks, pay fines, and fulfill all conditions set by the program.
  • While citizenship is not part of this provision, lawful status offers protection and the ability to work openly.
  • The legislation also extends long-promised protections to Dreamers.
  • Those brought to the U.S. as children will have a pathway to permanent residency and, for those meeting the criteria, the possibility of becoming U.S. citizens.

Better Visa Options for Students and Skilled Workers

  • The legislation proposes increasing the per-country visa allocation limit from 7% to 15% to address country-specific application backlogs.
  • It further introduces provisions to facilitate the continued residence of spouses, children, and relatives of U.S. citizens.
  • Improvements to student and employment visas to attract and retain international students and skilled workers.

Mandatory E-Verify for All Employers

  • Employers will be required to verify that all employees are legally allowed to work in the US using the E-Verify system.
  • The requirement will be introduced gradually, depending on the size of the employer.

Higher Green Card Cap for Indian Applicants

The Dignity Act is expected to significantly benefit Indian applicants by:

  • Increasing the number of green cards available each year due to the higher per-country cap.
  • Ending multi-decade green card waits with the 10-year limit.
  • Offering a premium processing option for those waiting over 10 years.
  • Provisions include simplified employment visa processing for skilled Indian professionals in technology, engineering, and healthcare.
  • Additional measures aim to minimize prolonged family separations during renewals and processing backlogs.

Additional Measures Under the Dignity Act 2025

  • Increased penalties for repeated immigration violations or illegal voting attempts.
  • Establishment of special humanitarian facilities at the border to assist migrants while cases are being processed.
  • Creation of a fund to train and support American workers as immigration reforms are implemented.

Booking a flight from the USA to India is simple with many route and fare options available. An Indian Eagle itinerary ensures the journey is planned for convenience and comfort.

Air India suspends Washington DC to India flights, effective September 1, 2025. Over the past few months, the airline had been dealing with operational challenges and aircraft shortages. Earlier the frequency of Air India Washington DC to India flights was reduced to just three in a week.

Air India was the only airline offering nonstop flights between Washington and India. No other carrier is offering nonstop services to any Indian city from the US capital. At present, it operates three weekly flights from Washington DC to Delhi via Vienna, down from five before June. This service will end on September 1, 2025, and a quick search shows no Air India flights from Washington to Delhi beyond that date.

What will happen to Air India passengers with confirmed Washington flights after September 1?

Passengers who already hold confirmed bookings for Air India Washington DC to India flights beyond September 1, 2025 will be rebooked via other Air India US routes via New York, Newark, Chicago or San Francisco. Air India passengers will also have an option to seek a full refund if they don’t prefer the routes mentioned.

Air India Reduces Frequency of US Flights

Not only in the USA and Canada, but across most routes, Air India reduced the frequency of its international and domestic flights, citing operational challenges after the tragic crash. Between June 21 and mid-July, long-haul flights were cut by up to 15%. Some routes resumed from August 1, but key US sectors may stay reduced until at least September 30.

The now suspended Air India Washington DC to India flights dropped from 5 to 3 weekly flights in June, while Delhi to Chicago was cut from 7 to just 3, later rising to 4 in August. Other reductions include Air India Delhi to San Francisco flights, down from 10 to 7 weekly. While Air India flights on Delhi-New York JFK (6), Delhi-Newark (4), and Mumbai-New York JFK (6) routes continue to operate on their existing frequencies.

Alternate Routes for Washington

With no nonstop flights from Washington DC to India, travelers flying on this route may face challenges. Currently, no other airline operates a nonstop service between Washington DC and India. The Indian Eagle customer service team can help in booking one-stop flights from Washington to India with British Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, Qatar Airways, or Turkish Airlines.

Loyal Air India passengers can rely on its strong interline partnerships with major US airlines such as United, Delta and Alaska Airlines. This allows passengers to book one stop flights from Washington to India via its four US gateways, Newark, New York, San Francisco and Chicago, with baggage checked through to the final destination on a single itinerary.

Although the Air India fleet includes some of the most advanced aircraft, the airline is facing operational challenges due to delayed deliveries. What do you think about the suspension of Air India Washington DC to India flights? Will Air India bounce back from these setbacks and stay on its growth path? If you’re an Air India passenger, share your thoughts in the comments.

American Airlines Launches One Stop Security at DFW to Streamline International Connections
Source: Freepik

At first glance, it felt like any other arrival from London. A jet easing into its gate at Dallas Fort Worth. Passengers gathering their belongings. A familiar routine, right?

Not this time.

For these travelers, it wasn’t just a flight. It offered a preview of how global travel could look in the future. Passengers skip Customs lines, avoid TSA rechecks, and don’t need to collect or recheck their bags.

Instead, they walked off the plane and headed straight to their next gate.

American Airlines just became the first U.S. carrier to launch One Stop Security, a new process that clears international passengers at the gate, transfers their luggage automatically, and eliminates the post-arrival grind that’s long defined transatlantic journeys.

And it’s not just a perk. It’s a transformation.

New Entry Process at DFW Cuts Connection Times in Half

Travelers arriving at DFW from London Heathrow now:

  • Clear U.S. Customs at the arrival gate
  • Skip TSA security rechecks
  • Bypass baggage claim entirely. Bags are forwarded automatically.

This means connection times drop by over 50%, and the frustration of layovers is replaced by something rare in modern travel: ease.

How DFW Became the First U.S. Airport to Use It

Behind this quiet overhaul was a coordinated effort between American Airlines, the TSA, CBP, the UK’s Department for Transport, and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. With tech support from vendors like BagCheck and Brock Solutions, the vision became reality.

And this wasn’t just a gamble; it was a tested success. The same system quietly piloted at Heathrow earlier this year, where outbound connections were smoothed for U.S.-bound passengers.

Now, with DFW in the spotlight, American is leading the charge to turn complicated layovers into seamless transitions.

OSS Delivers Real Benefits for Flyers and Airlines

More than just time saved, it’s a step toward a new standard in passenger comfort and efficiency.

  • No more dashing through terminals.
  • No more lost bags in the shuffle.
  • No more security déjà vu after an overnight flight.

For Americans, it’s more than a service tweak. It’s a strategic step forward, aligning with key partners like British Airways, standing out amid domestic competition, and doubling down on making the most of its biggest hub.

And for passengers? It’s a rare win in a world where airport stress is often considered inevitable.

American Airlines Plans to Expand OSS to More Airports

The program is currently limited to select Heathrow–DFW flights, but American Airlines is eyeing expansion. It plans to introduce One Stop Security at more U.S. airports and extend it to additional global routes, reaching more passengers who will connect with ease instead of collapsing after long-haul flights.

One Stop Security isn’t just a convenience; it’s a signal. That the age of waiting in line, dragging bags, and hoping for a smooth connection may finally be coming to a close.

And it all started at Gate D of an ordinary Tuesday arrival in Dallas.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does One Stop Security (OSS) work for international travelers?
One Stop Security is a new process that allows international passengers to clear U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the arrival gate without reclaiming their checked luggage or going through TSA security again.

Who Can Use the One Stop Security (OSS) Program?
Currently, it is available only for passengers flying from London Heathrow (LHR) to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) with a connecting domestic flight on American Airlines.

Do Passengers Still Go Through U.S. Customs with One Stop Security (OSS)?
Yes, but it happens at the arrival gate in DFW instead of a separate customs area, making the process faster and more convenient.

Do Passengers Need to Collect and Recheck Baggage with One Stop Security (OSS)?
No. Checked bags are automatically transferred to the next flight. Passengers do not need to reclaim or recheck them.

How much time can passengers save with OSS?
Passengers can expect to cut their connection time by more than 50%, thanks to the removal of baggage collection and security recheck steps.

Traveling with kids through busy airports can be stressful. Isn’t it? The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) understand that and so are working to make a change with the launch of Families on the Fly program.

What Is “Families on the Fly”?

TSA launches Families on the Fly to make airport security easier for families. It focuses on reducing stress and keeping families moving smoothly through checkpoints. What are the benefits of TSA’s Families on the Fly initiative?

The program includes several helpful features. Dedicated family lanes are now available at select airports across the country. These lanes give families extra time and space to get through security without pressure.

As TSA launches Families on the Fly, it will soon also offer discounted PreCheck fees for families. This will make faster screening more affordable for parents and children. In addition, military families will have access to special TSA PreCheck lanes. These efforts aim to balance hospitality with strong security.

Which airports in USA offer TSA Families on the Fly program?

Right now, “Families on the Fly” is active at Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Charlotte-Douglas International (CLT). More airports will join soon, including John Wayne Orange County (SNA) and Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu.

Other participating airports will include Charleston (CHS), Jacksonville (JAX), Rhode Island T.F. Green (PVD), Luis Muñoz Marín (SJU), and Tampa (TPA). TSA plans to expand the program at these airports in the coming months.

The new program shows TSA’s commitment to improving the passenger experience. Families are encouraged to prepare in advance and check TSA resources before flying.

For those traveling from USA to India and beyond, Indian Eagle flights offer the most affordable airfares. Calling on +001-800-615-3969 will help you get the best flight deal for your family travel from USA to India.

For thousands of Indian professionals stuck in America’s long green card queue, this month’s U.S. Visa Bulletin isn’t a miracle, but it’s not silent either. Released by the U.S. Department of State and confirmed by USCIS for processing, the August 2025 bulletin makes a quiet but meaningful shift. There’s one noticeable forward step, some stubborn standstills, and a looming cloud on the horizon. If you’re waiting on a green card, this is your signal to pause and pay attention.

EB-3 India Moves Forward by One Month

Let’s start with the good news.

The EB-3 category, covering skilled workers and professionals, has inched forward by one month. The final action date now stands at May 22, 2013, up from April 22. A month’s movement may seem small, but for those who filed over ten years ago, it could be the long-awaited push toward approval.

EB-1 and EB-2 India Remain Unchanged

Sadly, the EB-1 (for top-tier talent) and EB-2 (for highly educated professionals) remain exactly where they’ve been for months:

  • EB-1 India: Still stuck at February 15, 2022
  • EB-2 India: Frozen at January 1, 2013

These categories have become traffic jams. There’s no acceleration, no exit ramp, just a prolonged wait with no clear ETA in sight.

EB-5 India Shows Strong Progress

If you’re part of the EB-5 investor crowd, there’s a bigger reason to smile. The unreserved EB-5 category for India jumped forward by over six months, now pegged at November 15, 2019. That’s a considerable leap compared to the crawl of other categories.

Even better: the EB-5 set-aside categories, meant for rural and high-unemployment zone investments, remain current. That means no backlog, no delay. File today and move forward without delay, while the window is still open.

EB-2 and EB-3 Categories Near Annual Limits

Alongside these updates is a warning that shouldn’t be ignored. The EB-2 and EB-3 categories are nearing their annual limits. If demand continues rising, the government may pause further approvals or even roll the dates backward, a process called retrogression. This could hit as early as September 2025, disrupting timelines for many who are almost at the finish line.

Final Action Dates for India – August 2025

Visa Category Final Action Date
EB-1 India February 15, 2022
EB-2 India January 1, 2013
EB-3 India May 22, 2013
EB-5 (Unreserved) November 15, 2019
EB-5 (Set-Aside) Current (no backlog)

Your petition’s original filing date must fall before the listed cutoff in order for you to apply.

Next Steps for EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and EB-5 Applicants

  • If your EB-3 priority date falls before May 22, 2013, get ready, because you’re officially in the green zone and can proceed with your green card application.
  • If you’re considering EB-5, this is an ideal window to act, especially under the set-aside categories, where the path is still clear.
  • But if you’re in EB-1 or EB-2, hang tight and watch closely, as September could bring retrogression, and the calm might not last long.

August didn’t break the backlog, but it cracked open a door. For many Indians holding on to years of paperwork, even that is something.

With visa progress in categories like EB-3 and EB-5, many applicants are gearing up for travel and preparing to take the next steps in their immigration journey. To plan ahead, you can search flights from USA to India and explore the latest options. Indian Eagle offers competitive fares and has become a go-to platform for those flying to India.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the Final Action Dates for Indian applicants in August 2025?

In August 2025, the Final Action Dates for Indian applicants are: EB-1 at February 15, 2022; EB-2 at January 1, 2013; EB-3 at May 22, 2013; EB-5 Unreserved at November 15, 2019; and EB-5 Set-Aside categories remain Current with no backlog. If your priority date is earlier than these, your green card is eligible for processing.

What changed for Indian EB-3 applicants in August 2025?

The EB-3 India Final Action Date moved forward by one month to May 22, 2013. This gives long-waiting skilled workers and professionals a narrow window to move ahead in the green card process.

Is there any movement in EB-2 and EB-1 categories for India?

There is no movement in EB-2 and EB-1 for India; EB-2 remains on January 1, 2013, and EB-1 is still on February 15, 2022.

What’s the update for EB-5 investor visa applicants from India?

What is retrogression, and how could it affect Indian applicants?

Retrogression occurs when visa availability is rolled back due to high demand. For Indian applicants in EB-2 and EB-3, it could start as early as September 2025, causing delays even for those nearing approval.

What is a priority date, and how do I find mine?

A priority date is the day your employer or sponsor filed your immigrant petition (such as I-140 or I-526). It determines your place in the green card queue. You can find it on your I-797 receipt notice.

How often does the Visa Bulletin change?

The US Visa Bulletin is updated monthly by the Department of State. USCIS then confirms which chart (Final Action or Filing Date) will be used for green card processing.

For years, lounges have been seen as places to relax and escape the noise. But when time is tight and the next gate is a hike, slowing down isn’t always an option. In those moments, travelers need something efficient, with fresh food, fast service, and just enough comfort to keep moving.

American Airlines has an answer with Provisions by Admirals Club℠. And it’s not just a tweak to the traditional lounge concept. It’s a rebuild from the ground up, crafted specifically for flyers who move fast, think ahead, and appreciate simplicity done well.

Opening in late summer 2025 at Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), this first-of-its-kind space will be situated in Concourse A, just steps from Gate A1, a high-traffic zone for travelers constantly on the move. Rather than asking them to slow down, American Airlines is choosing to meet them right where they are.

Built for Fast and Easy Layovers

Forget traditional lounges built for long waits. This space chooses form that follows function, where every high-top table and open aisle guides travelers through with purpose. Meals are curated for speed and taste, from handmade sandwiches and crisp produce to clean vegetarian options that don’t slow things down. If you need assistance with your flight, personal help is available from on-site staff. You won’t need a kiosk.

Heather Garboden, Chief Customer Officer at American Airlines, shared that the Provisions by Admirals Club lounge is designed to offer travelers both quick snacks and practical support to enhance their journey.

American Airlines Expands Lounge and Flight Services at Charlotte

This lounge is more than a new addition. It marks a shift in direction, representing another move in American’s broader effort to redefine the premium travel experience, starting at its second-largest hub.

With more than 670 daily departures and flights to over 170 destinations in 27 countries, CLT is no small stage. And summer 2025 is big: American is rolling out its largest-ever transatlantic schedule from Charlotte, including a new nonstop route to Athens, Greece (ATH).

Ralph Lopez Massas, American’s Senior Vice President of CLT Operations, noted that the new concept reflects the airline’s continued commitment to enhancing the travel experience at Charlotte.

Who Can Access the Lounge

Access to Provisions by Admirals Club follows the same policies as other Admirals Club lounges:

  • Admirals Club® members
  • Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive Mastercard® holders
  • oneworld® Sapphire or Emerald status
  • Eligible AAdvantage® members on qualifying international flights
  • Or: buy a One-Day Pass for $79 or 7,900 miles, good for 24 hours

Whether staying for five minutes or twenty, travelers get the same access to premium food, smart service, and a space that understands what airport time really feels like.

Simplified Lounge Experience for Travelers

American Airlines is clear about what this is: not a lounge for lingering. It’s a space for now, for the way people actually move through airports. Fast. Focused. Flexible. With Provisions by Admirals Club℠, the wait for a more modern lounge experience is almost over, and Charlotte is where it all begins.

Finding cheap flights from Charlotte to India is easier than ever with a range of flexible options. For urgent travel plans, Indian Eagle provides last minute deals that offer real value.

After revealing plans for longer economy class seats, Emirates has now turned its focus to premium cabins. The airline is designing brand-new first class suites for its Airbus A380 fleet. These developments highlight Emirates’ commitment to both budget and luxury travelers. The new Emirates first class cabin on the Boeing 777-300ER, featuring a Mercedes-Benz-inspired design has already earned praise for elevating inflight comfort and style.

Emirates Airlines’ president, Sir Tim Clark, announced the new A380 first-class suites during the IATA Annual General Meeting & World Air Transport Summit 2025 in Delhi. The move aims to keep the iconic A380 aircraft relevant well into the 2030s.

New Emirates First Class Suites

Emirates fleet of iconic A380 aircraft will have a luxury overhaul. The new first class suites will be inspired by Emirates Boeing 777 ‘Game Changer’. Emirates will bring the enclosed, floor-to-ceiling suites to the new A380 first class. The design will shift from the current 1-2-1 setup to a layout with three wider suites per row on the upper deck. Middle suites may allow couples to sit together, which is similar to Lufthansa’s Allegris concept.

Emirates Business Class Upgrade

Emirates is also considering adding doored business class seats. These will mirror the private cabins planned for the Boeing 777X. With these changes, Emirates is aiming for higher privacy and comfort across premium cabins.

Apart from this, a soft refresh is already in progress for Emirates fleet of Airbus A380 aircraft. Gold tones and dark woods are being replaced with cream leather and muted shades. Emirates passengers can expect taller seat walls, a “yacht‑style” social bar, and upgraded shower suites with UAE‑inspired décor. Lighting and carpet upgrades aim to add warmth to the cabin. Furthermore, faster, satellite-powered Wi-Fi on Emirates flights is becoming standard for Skywards members.

The Most On-Time Airports in the U.S., According to AirHelp

Although the US is home to some of the world’s best airports, they are frequently criticized for flight delays. In a recent ranking by AirHelp, a global passenger assistance company, nearly 250 airports across 68 countries were evaluated. Surprisingly, only one airport in the USA managed to secure a spot in the global top 10.

Salt Lake City Airport secured the 8th spot on the list of the world’s most on-time airports. It earned a respectable score of 8.29 out of 10 for its on-time operations and customer service.

Most On Time Airports in USA

Apart from Salt Lake City, several other airports in USA have also been recognized for their on-time performance. Los Angles International Airport ranks as the second most punctual USA (21st globally), followed by Minneapolis–St. Paul International Airport in third place (22nd globally). Despite being one of the busiest airports in the world, Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport secured the fourth spot (36th globally).

Portland, Nashville and Chicago Midway rank as the fifth (37th globally), sixth (38th globally) and seventh (41st globally) most on-time airports in the United States. Austin Bergstrom Airport, Houston William P. Hobby Airport, and Honolulu Daniel K Inouye Airports round out the list of most on time airports in USA, taking the eighth (48th global), ninth (49th global), and tenth (51st global) positions.

How did AirHelp rank most on-time airports in the world?

AirHelp uses its internal flight data and passenger feedback to rank the best airports in the world. The data was collected from June 2024 to May 2025. Each airport was given a score out of 10. The score was based on three main factors.

On-time performance had the highest weight at 60%. Customer service, which includes wait times, staff behavior, cleanliness, and accessibility, made up 20%. The remaining 20% was based on food and shopping options available at the airport.

According to a frequent flyer with Indian Eagle travel, factors such as baggage handling, ground operations and inadequate staffing affect the on-time performance of airports. Better punctuality can reduce travel stress and help avoid missed connections.

What do you think are the most on time airports in USA? Do you think any other airport deserves to be on the list? Comment below and let us know which airports in USA you think struggle the most with delays.
