Ayodhya to embrace Complete Makeover after Supreme Court Verdict – River Cruise, International Airport, Resorts and 5-star Hotels


Post the Supreme Court verdict on 9 November, 2019, over the disputed land in Ayodhya, the UP city is about to have a complete transformation, With the announcement of laying the foundation stone of eh Ram Temple on the occasion of Ram Navami next year in April, plans for 5-star hotels, luxurious resorts, an international airport and a cruise have come up as a makeover of Ayodhya, India.

The UP government has also planned for a cruise on River Saryu for tourists getting the best view of the magnificent Ram Mandir to be built in the city. Talking about the plan, the Deputy Director of Information of Ayodhya Division, Murlidhar Singh said, “Ayodhya Teerth Vikas Parishad will be constituted. Plans are on t start river cruise on the Saryu River in Ayodhya. It will take almost four years for Ayodhya to become a city like Tirupati.”

The Deputy Director also added, “The temple of Lord Ram will be the biggest religious place in the country. If 2,000 craftsmen will work for eight hours a day, the temple will be ready in two and a half years. So far, 65 per cent of the stones have been already carved.”

Reportedly, the construction work of an international airport in Ayodhya is to be started in full pace, with an aim to see the first flight taking off in April, 2020 on the auspicious occasion of Rama Navami. The Ayodhya Railway station is also being expanded for better connectivity throughout the nation along with the development of an international bus terminal. The construction of 5-star hotels and around 10 luxurious resorts in the city in also to be commenced by December, 2019.

In addition to this, information on plans to have state buildings like Maharashtra Bhawan, Uttarakhand Bhawan and Karnataka Bhawan in Ayodhya is also revealed by a senior official in the CM’s Secretariat. This is an idea to improve Ayodhya Tourism. Building a new township in the area of Ram Mandir is also seen as a significant effort in attracting national and foreign tourists to the holy city.
