
The American Telugu Association (ATA) successfully organized the semi-finals of “Jhumandi Naadam,” “Sayyandi Paadam,” and “Beauty Pageant 2026” at the Royal Albert Palace in New Jersey. The event was held as part of the prestigious 19th ATA Conference & Youth Convention and witnessed enthusiastic participation from Telugu families, community leaders, and cultural enthusiasts from across the United States.
ATA Event Draws Huge Response from Telugu Community
The celebrations began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. More than 150 contestants showcased their talents across music, dance, and beauty pageant categories. The event also attracted over 350 audience members from New Jersey and neighboring states.
Jhumandi Naadam Singing Competition Showcases Musical Talent
The Jhumandi Naadam singing competition featured nearly 70 participants, who impressed the audience with their performances of classical and Telugu film songs. Their melodious renditions received an overwhelming response from attendees.
Sayyandi Paadam Dance Performances Highlight Indian Culture
The Sayyandi Paadam dance competition followed, with around 70 performers presenting captivating acts. Contestants performed a variety of dance forms, including Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, folk dances, patriotic performances, and film-based choreography, highlighting the richness of Indian culture and tradition.
Beauty Pageant 2026 Semi-Finals Steal the Spotlight
One of the major highlights of the event was the Beauty Pageant 2026 Semi-Finals, which saw 35 contestants competing in different categories. Participants demonstrated confidence, leadership qualities, personality, stage presence, and awareness of Telugu culture. Winners were honored with crowns, medals, and mementos.
