Air France is preparing a major upgrade for passengers flying through New York. The airline plans to open a large new lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in 2027. The new facility will be inside JFK’s New Terminal One. Air France also plans to move all of its JFK operations to the new terminal in 2027.
New Air France Lounge
The upcoming lounge will span two levels and offer more than 400 seats. Air France is designing the space for different types of travellers. Some passengers may want to relax before their flight, while others may need a quiet place to work or eat. The airline plans to provide separate areas for dining, relaxation, work and beauty treatments. Passengers can choose how they want to spend their time before boarding.
French Food, Wine and Champagne Will Be Part of the Experience
Food and drinks will be a key part of the new Air France lounge at JFK. The airline plans to offer dining areas inspired by French cuisine. A dedicated bar will serve French wines and Champagne. The facility will also include quieter spaces where passengers can relax away from the busier parts of the terminal.
La Première Passengers Will Get a Private Area
Travellers flying in Air France La Première, the airline’s first-class cabin, will have their own dedicated space inside the lounge. The private area will offer an exclusive dining menu created by a well-known French chef. Air France has not yet announced the chef’s name. This separate space will extend the La Première experience beyond the aircraft and into the airport.
Who Can Access the New Air France JFK Lounge?
Access will not be limited to first-class travellers. The lounge will welcome eligible Air France Business Class passengers, La Première customers and Flying Blue Elite Plus members. Eligible travellers flying with KLM and other SkyTeam partner airlines will also be able to use the facility. Air France will reserve a separate space for Flying Blue Ultimate members. However, passengers travelling on Business Light fares will not receive lounge access under the announced rules.
Air France Will Move to JFK’s New Terminal One
The lounge is part of a wider change for Air France at New York JFK Airport. The airline plans to move all of its JFK operations to the New Terminal One in 2027. The terminal forms part of the wider redevelopment of JFK Airport. The project will include larger public spaces, modern technology, restaurants, retail areas and updated passenger facilities. For Air France travellers, the move will bring check-in, lounge access and boarding into the new terminal.
What the New Lounge Means for Air France Passengers
The new lounge will give eligible travellers more space to relax, eat or work before their flight. It will also bring Air France’s premium airport services together in one modern space at the New Terminal One.
For Business Class and La Première passengers, the facility will offer a more comfortable pre-flight experience before boarding.
