Initiatives to Achieve Net Zero Carbon Emissions

In order to achieve the goal of net zero emission across major airports in India, the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has taken up several initiatives such as setting standards for the Carbon Accounting along with timely-reports of the framework for Indian airports. The upcoming Greenfield Airports must also focus on carbon neutrality as per an advisory from MoCA. More emphasis should be given on utilization of green energy at these eco-friendly airports.

Greenfield Airports in India

India will likely have 21 new Greenfield Airports in the coming years. This symbolizes aviation growth and connectivity.
