Now time has come to re-civilized the HINDU culture in same way we were once. 2500 crore is a very small amount when it come to belief. Those who say this amount can be used for school, hospital for them I want to say economy and culture both should grow.

Great move. Will help bring people together, and preserve one of the oldest culture on earth, teaching immortal lessons of life. Not wise to compare it to building schools and hospitals. They are 2 different things. Both are important and needed equally.

In reply to Venkataraman B. Dont Agree. The building of statue is transformational for the culture, which is fast going into history. Much needed. Think about the cohesiveness it might bring to the fractured society. Building schools and orphanage should and will still be done. No connection to this. More money lost in corruption anyway.

Spend more on education and school system in India in all rural and village.
Spread basic education and cottage and small scale industries for all in India.
Provide drinking water and minimum shelters to all.
Things will change automatically.
Nature takes care of all as they work for it.

In reply to Venkataraman B. Go to a school and pray. Being hindu having a temple for good is important. Even in USA begets are exists and pawerty exists. So don't come back with building skills and hospitals. It will attract tourism and a sacred place of all Hindus. Everybody taken hindu for granted and we talk being secular.

Why? What is the necessity of building this statue and spending thousands of crores? Instead build a school and provide free education or build orphanage and provide service for free etc. using that money.
