From USa theyhave big flight but once you reach Doha or Dubai, the airlines have small plane and they asked everyone to give hand luggage in check in so it’s very difficult to give our hand luggage to handover to airlines at last moments with your valuables. This happened tome for three times and I came to know that this happened daily..

My wife and I had a bad experience with Qatar airways when flying from Doha to London with a break in London and onwards to Dallas.

Upon complaining to Qatar airways, we never heard back. Ever since that we have flown American and British Airways to Chennai and Bengaluru multiple times with no hassle whatsoever and the bonus we get to take breaks in London and travel to other European cities.

Not a penny of my money to Qatar or any other Middle Eastern carriers.

1) QATAR Airways
QSuite in-flight service is top notch: Qsuite is a private suite (for solo, companion, family configuration), custom dining options, unlimited light snacks, mattress prepared for a comfortable sleeping, B777 or A950 is a decent size equipment for smooth ride
Business class fares determine these though:
Seat selection (really does not matter as each seat is same)
Lounge access (something we will really miss without)
Flies from JFK and not EWR, NJ residents this would mean additional commute time and expense for airport

3) BRITISH AIRWAYS
Individual suite comparable to QATAR (does not have twin, QUAD though)
Excellent customer service
unlimited snack, drinks pantry bar
mattress prepared for comfortable sleeping.
Flies from EWR and JFK
Lounge access included.
Seat selection for extra money or loyalty customers can choose 7 days or sooner can do the seat selection.

3) LUFTHANSA
747 upper deck is like a charter flight and really special even though the seats are outdated
the upper deck is quiet and has very few passengers
limited food service without customer dine option have to eat when served
no additional snack options
Lounge access included
Seat selection from the time of reservation
Flies from EWR and JFK

4) EMIRATES Airways
A380 (only from JFK) lounge in the flight is great for taking break, snacking with wide choice
Not worth to fly via EWR which is crowded 777 business class seating
Quieter upper deck
Outdated seating compared to QATAR, BRITISH AIRWAYS
Business class fares determine these though:
Seat selection (only window seats where the seat is next to window has privacy all others do not)
Lounge access (something we will really miss without)

I agree..Qatar is a horrible airline…they broke my suitcase on the way back to Dallas from Blr, and they would not reimburse me. Additionally, when I complained, they did nothing..I even wrote to the HQ in Doha..still nothing. I have permanently decided to avoid Qatar. Their food on board is stale too. Additionally, the facilities in the Doha airport are abhorring…you have to walk for miles to find a toilet, and then too, there will be lines with 20-30 people for each toilet.

The long leg from USA to the Middle East is a negative.

This is incorrect. TK flies only to Mumbai and Delhi. Their departure times in DEL and BOM are in the morning, so if you are connecting from another Indian city, you have to wait the whole night in the airport. Not a good choice

I had 20 hours lay over at Doha airport, they did not provide me with hotel or meal voucher. They lied about meal voucher which did not work at the food court !!?? They have double standard , full of lies and deception. My ticket (primary) was American Airlines, connecting to Qatar. But Qatar did not honor policy laid by American.
After returning to US, I complained to Qatar but they did not care to respond.
Emirates is far better than Qatar.
