Hi Everyone,

My friend has a return travel with Emirates next week, from Delhi to Los Angeles, USA. After a vacation of two months. She is traveling with a family member. There is a layover in Dubai, so where will be the port of entry / immigration for them ? Any helpful thoughts?

If your mom is fully vaccinated (with the second dose of the two-dose vaccine at least 15 days before her departure from the US), she does not need to take an RT-PCR test in the US or Dubai. She should provide details of her vaccination in the Air Suvidha form and carry the vaccination card/certificate while traveling.

My mom is going to travel back from USA to India via emirates to Hyderabad with 3 hours layover in Dubai.
Does she require any RT-PCR test to be done in USA or in Dubai?

You need to apply in advance for a transit visa for 48 to 96 hours of stopover in Dubai/UAE. You must have a confirmed flight ticket for onward travel and a valid hotel booking for the duration of your stay/stopover in Dubai/UAE. Appreciate the information you provide us here!

I am planning to travel from India to USA with a stopover of 3 days (< 96 hours) in Dubai – tickets could be together or different.
In either case, do I need to apply for a Transit Visa or am I eligible for a Visa on Arrival (I hold an US H1B Visa, if that matters)?

Also, does Emirates help me with the Transit Visa if I book an onward ticket from India to Dubai via Emirates and book the remaining leg from Dubai to USA via some other airlines?
