In reply to Mukund Joshi. Hi Mukund! You will be allowed only one check-in bag for free on your return flight too. Those who purchased tickets on or after January 3, 2020 can check in two pieces of baggage for free. However, please call Air India and check with them.

air india was loosing its business from ewr to mumbai or delhi and emirates was gaining that business so i think they back with 2 bags check-in

We booked Newark-Ahmedabad round trip in December 2019, traveled AMD on January 18, 2020 and returning EWR on March 16. We were allowed only 1-free check-in bag. On our upcoming return trip to EWR on March 16, would we be allowed 2-free check-in bags?
