In early April, the authorities officially opened a section of this enormous terminal that covers 1,36,295 square meters. The following week, they conducted a test run. These notable airlines include Air Arabia, Air Asia, IndiGo, Jazeera Airways, Air India, Alliance Air, and Ethiopian Airlines. <\/span>Experts predict that the 16 other airlines will follow suit within the next two weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Once the integrated terminal at the Chennai airport is fully functional, authorities will dismantle the existing international terminal, which has so far accommodated certain arrival operations. The authorities expect the integrated terminal under construction to comprise the remaining components, and they anticipate that this project will last over a year.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the terminal building, the airport authorities are also concentrating on increasing airside capacity.
