Pune Airport, also called Pune International Airport<\/a>, serves as a major hub for flights into and out of Pune, a busy city. How Many Terminals Are There in Pune Airport?<\/b><\/h2>\n

There are now two terminals at Pune Airport. To ensure effective management of passenger traffic within India, Terminal 1 handles domestic flights. Terminal 2, which was expected to be operational by the end of June 2024, is intended for international flights. The goal of this extension is to improve the overall travel experience for both domestic and international passengers by accommodating the growing passenger volume. Being an Air Force base, Pune International Airport (PNQ) has a single civil passenger terminal. The terminal serves both international and domestic air traffic. The terminal is equipped with 26 check-in counters and 2 aerobridges. It has the capacity for approximately 450 arrival passengers and 450 departure passengers each.<\/p>\n

With the required security personnel in place, the facility is now ready. At the same time, the Purandar Greenfield Airport project has been verified, and land acquisition will begin as soon as possible after receiving consent from those in charge. Additionally, efforts are being made to extend the current runway to accommodate larger aircraft. However, to obtain the requisite land, cooperation with the state and defense ministries is required. The upcoming upgrades have the potential to greatly improve Pune’s aviation connectivity and capability.<\/span><\/p>\n
