Do you have plans of traveling to Goa in 2023? Chances are that you might land at the <\/span>new Mopa airport<\/b> or<\/span> Manohar Parrikar International Airport<\/span><\/i>. It will be the <\/span>second international airport serving Goa <\/span><\/i>after Dabolim International Airport. The new airport is scheduled to begin operations from <\/span>5th January 2023<\/span><\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The new Mopa International Airport will connect Goa, a popular tourist attraction in India with other major cities across the country such as Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A Greenfield Airport<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Manohar Parrikar International Airport will become the 10th greenfield<\/span> airport in India<\/b><\/a>. The Aviation Ministry has given its approval for nearly 21 such airports and nine out of these are already functional. The existing greenfield airports are as follows:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  2. Sindhudurg Airport in Maharashtra<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Kalaburagi Airport in Karnataka<\/span><\/li>\n

  5. Kannur International Airport in Kerala<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Durgapur Airport in West Bengal<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Kushinagar International Airport in Uttar Pradesh<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Donyi Polo Airport in Arunachal Pradesh<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Pakyong Airport in Sikkim<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After the Manohar Parrikar International Airport starts operations on 5th January next year, it will become India\u2019s 10th greenfield airport. The addition of this new airport will serve both domestic and international tourists visiting Goa and make their travel hassle-free.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
