A brief history of Qatar Airways<\/strong><\/p>\n

The distinguished airline was first established in the year 1993 in the month of November. Flight operations began early next year. In the year 1995, the number of staff totaled all of 75 and were hired by Sheikh Hamad Bin Ali Bin Jabor Al Thani, the then CEO of Qatar Airways (QR).<\/strong> Over the years, the airline took off exceedingly well and is today one of the most reputed ones in the world. From its base at Hamad International Airport situated in Doha, Qatar Airways serves a vast number of global destinations. In the year 2012, Qatar Airways added a few more destinations which included Belgrade, Addis Ababa, Baghdad, Maputo, Perth, Erbil, Warsaw, Saint Petersburg, Kilimanjaro, Zagreb, Yangon, Mombasa, and Kigali.
