However, they must still reserve a timed ticket in advance because space is expected to fill up quickly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To prove they live in Illinois, visitors must show:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A current Illinois driver\u2019s license or state ID<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A Chicago CityKey card<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Or a valid photo ID plus another document like an Illinois lease, library card, student ID, utility bill, or work ID with pay stub<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Ticket Sales and Prices<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tickets to visit the Obama Presidential Center Museum will go on sale in early May 2026:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>April 21<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: \u201cFounding Members\u201d of the Obama Foundation can buy tickets early.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>May 6<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Tickets go on sale to the general public.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other visitors who are not Illinois residents will need to pay standard admission:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adults (12 and older): $30<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children (3\u201311): $23<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children 2 and under: Free<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Illinois residents visiting on days other than Tuesday pay a discounted rate of $26 for adults and $15 for children.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Opening Date and Location<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Obama Presidential Center Museum opens to the public on June 19, 2026, during Juneteenth weekend. Celebrations will continue through June 21, featuring special events, activities, and exhibitions to mark the grand opening.
