India is set to transform the aviation industry with the country\u2019s first offshore airport near Mumbai. The construction of the Vadhvan Seaport Airport on an artificial island is intended to ease Mumbai Airport’s traffic and enhance regional and global connectivity. The Vadhvan Airport project has already received preliminary approval from the state and federal authorities of Maharashtra and is currently undergoing a feasibility assessment. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) will oversee the planning to ensure compliance with international aviation standards.
