The Election Commission has made it easier for voters in Karnataka to verify their electoral status during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR). If you are a registered voter, you can now check online whether your name has been marked under the ASDDO category.

More than 1.11 crore voters out of Karnataka’s 5.54 crore registered voters have already been flagged under this category. If your name appears in the Karnataka SIR ASDDO List 2026 by mistake, you still have an opportunity to correct it before the draft electoral rolls are finalized.

What Does ASDDO Mean?

ASDDO is a classification used during voter verification. It includes electors who are marked as:

A – Absent: Voter was not available during verification.

S – Shifted: Voter has reportedly moved from the registered address.

D – Duplicate: Multiple voter records appear to exist.

D – Dead: The voter has been reported to be deceased.

O – Others: Any other category requiring further verification.

Being included in the Karnataka SIR ASDDO list does not automatically remove your name from the voter rolls. It simply means your record requires verification before the final electoral roll is prepared.

How to Check the Karnataka SIR ASDDO List Online

Follow these simple steps.

  • Visit the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Karnataka, ASDDO portal.
  • Select your district from the available list.
  • Download or open the district-wise ASDDO list.
  • Search for your name or EPIC details in the document.

If your district is not listed yet, check back later. The Election Commission is uploading district-wise lists in phases. Some districts, including Belagavi, Raichur, Shivamogga, and Bengaluru Urban, were unavailable when the portal was launched.

What Should You Do If Your Name Is Marked Incorrectly?

Do not panic. If your name has been mistakenly marked as absent, shifted, or under any incorrect category, you should immediately contact your Booth Level Officer (BLO).

The BLO will:

  • Verify your residence.
  • Confirm that you still live at the registered address.
  • Provide you with the required enumeration form.
  • Update your voter record, if required, after verification.

Submitting the required information on time can help ensure your name remains in the electoral roll.

Will ASDDO Voters Be Removed?

Not immediately. Voters in the ASDDO category may be excluded from the draft electoral roll until verification is completed. However, those who prove they continue to reside at their registered address can request correction of their records through the prescribed process.

How to Check Your Voter Registration Status

Apart from the ASDDO portal, you can also verify your voter registration through the Election Commission’s official voter services portal.

The portal allows voters to:

  • Search their voter details.
  • Check application status.
  • Download e-EPIC.
  • Access voter registration services.

The Election Commission has extended the Karnataka SIR 2026 schedule, giving voters more time to complete the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will continue house-to-house verification until August 8, 2026, instead of July 29. The draft electoral rolls will be published on August 17, 2026, while the final electoral rolls are scheduled for release on October 19, 2026.
