Starting September 15, 2026, customers flying in Flagship Business Plus and Flagship Business can use Flagship Dining at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Miami International Airport (MIA).

What Is American Airlines Flagship Dining?

Flagship Dining is American Airlines’ premium sit-down restaurant experience inside select Flagship lounges. It offers a more private setting and a multi-course meal before a flight. Unlike a standard airport lounge buffet, Flagship Dining gives eligible travelers table service and a menu created by American’s culinary team. The dining experience is available at the airline’s Flagship lounges at DFW and Miami. This change gives more business-class passengers access to a premium airport meal before long international flights, select coast-to-coast flights and eligible Hawaii services.

Who Can Access Flagship Dining?

Beginning September 15, American Airlines will allow the following passengers to access Flagship Dining:

• Travelers flying in Flagship Business Plus
• Travelers flying in Flagship Business
• Passengers on qualifying long-haul international routes
• Passengers on eligible transcontinental Flagship routes
• Passengers on eligible Flagship flights to Hawaii

Travelers must have an eligible itinerary to use the dining rooms. Access is also subject to available seating. Passengers should check in with the host team inside the Flagship lounge after they arrive. If a table is available, the host team will seat them immediately. If the dining room is full, travelers may join an electronic waitlist and receive a notification when their table is ready.

New Flagship Dining Experience at DFW and Miami

The new access policy will begin at American Airlines’ Flagship lounges at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Miami International Airport. DFW is American Airlines’ largest hub and serves many international connections. Miami is also a major gateway for flights to Latin America, the Caribbean and other global destinations. The expanded Flagship Dining benefit can give eligible travelers a more comfortable and relaxed airport experience during long layovers or before international departures. American says wait times may vary depending on lounge demand and flight schedules.

Wine and Chocolate Pairing

Along with expanded access, American Airlines will introduce a special wine and chocolate pairing for Flagship Dining guests. American Airlines will also serve KHK Cabernet Sauvignon in all Flagship lounges and at The Chelsea Lounge at JFK, while keeping the lounge’s current entry rules unchanged.

American Introduces a Refreshed Menu

The airline will offer a new four-course menu with fresh seasonal dishes inspired by its hub cities. The menu updates show how airlines are investing more in airport dining and ground services to improve the premium travel experience.

Los Angeles Flagship Dining Will Return in Late 2026

American Airlines will reopen its private Flagship Dining area at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) later in 2026. The LAX reopening will give eligible travelers flying from the West Coast another premium lounge dining option.
