Breeze Airways will temporarily suspend four routes in September, while several other services will operate at reduced frequencies.

• Fort Lauderdale–Akron/Canton: Service will drop from two flights a week to one from September 5 to October 2.
• Orlando–Madison: The route will operate twice weekly instead of three times a week from September 6 to 28.
• Provo–Orange County: Flights will decrease slightly from 18 to 17 per week between September 6 and October 2.

The airline will also suspend Charleston–Cancun service from September 5 through December 19. 

Breeze Airways Boosts September Operations 

The temporary route cuts do not mean Breeze is reducing its overall operations. According to Cirium data, Breeze is scheduled to operate about 6,823 flights in September 2026, up from 4,755 flights in September 2025. That represents a 43.5% increase. Seat capacity is also expected to grow by 46.3% year over year, driven by the airline’s continued fleet and network expansion.

Airbus A220-300 Becomes Breeze’s Main Aircraft 

The Airbus A220-300 is now the main aircraft in Breeze Airways’ scheduled network. The larger aircraft gives Breeze more seats while allowing it to maintain nonstop service between smaller markets and larger destinations. The A220 also offers Breeze Ascent, Extra Legroom and standard seating, with Wi-Fi available on equipped flights. As Breeze expands its A220 operations, the Embraer E190 is playing a much smaller role. According to September schedule data cited by AeroRoutes, the E190 is expected to operate just eight scheduled flights during the month.
