You might have seen pictures of the white desert, that endless stretch that looks like snow but isn’t. Maybe you considered the picture manipulated, as the brightness seemed too much to be real.  But the truth is it just seems different when you visit there.

Maybe it was so bright that you thought it had to be edited. But after you stand there, it’s totally different.  If you plan a trip to explore this, here is the list of some top places to visit in Kutch.

Great Rann of Kutch

The White Desert serves as a pretty impressive and unique place to explore. It appears as if a tiny city is being born right at the center of the desert during the Rann Utsav, with the tents illuminated , people dancing in their ethnic costumes, and food that, by some magic, tastes even better under the sky.  The entire earth seems to be alive and glittering when the moonlight is reflected by the salt.

Kalo Dungar

Kalo Dungar or Black Hill is the highest point in Kutch. The Rann looks like a boundless white sea from the top.  There’s an old temple where monks still feed jackals every evening. It’s quiet, oddly peaceful, and something you won’t forget soon.

Mandvi Beach

Mandvi Beach is a great example of a relaxed lifestyle that, very likely, you could lose track of time when you are there. The sea waves keep rolling quietly, kids are laughing, and the scent of fried snacks spreads through the air.  It might be that you want to do a camel ride, or just walk along the shore until your mind is silent.. And certainly, be sure to see the very close Vijay Vilas Palace, the rooftop and arches of which seem to be taken from an ancient Indian film.

Dholavira

This is an ancient Harappan site, thousands of years old, with remains of streets, reservoirs, and walls still standing strong. It’s quiet, dusty, and in a strange way. You start imagining the lives that once existed there and for a moment, you forget about the noise of now.

Aina Mahal

One place you should not miss in Bhuj is Aina Mahal, which is the Palace of Mirrors. Although the palace is not very large or luxurious, the intricacy of the items will astonish you and  mirrors from wall to ceiling, numerous mirrors, old-style European tiles, and chandeliers which still reflect the light wonderfully. The reflections make you slow down. You’ll probably take more pictures than you plan to.

Also Read: Rann of Kutch during Rann Utsav

Kutch Museum

If you’re curious about where everything began, stop at the Kutch Museum. It’s small but packed with stories, tribal art, embroidery, coins, and Kutchi scripts that remind you how layered this region is. It’s not flashy. It’s personal.

Bhadreshwar Jain Temple

Those kinds of temples always carry some sort of peace in them. Bhadreshwar Jain Temple is a pure white marble wonder from top to bottom and every pillar is beautifully decorated. It is a very old temple and its old age can be felt by the absence of noise. People generally, even if it is unintentional, when they come to such places, sit in silence for some time.

Narayan Sarovar

In the middle of dry land, you find a lake that looks like glass. That’s Narayan Sarovar. The air there feels cooler, softer. People come for prayers and peace. Stay for sunset, the reflection of the sky on the still water might be one of the best things you’ll see in Kutch.

Lakhpat Fort

The continuation of your journey will definitely bring you to Lakhpat which is a ghost village but it still has a lot of historical memories. The fort stretches for several kilometers with thick, strong walls that still hold the ruins of a once-bustling port.  There is no doubt that the place is silent now and even seems to be very silent. It feels as if the town still talks to itself when the air passes through its ancient doors.

Bhujodi Vande Mataram Memorial Park

Before you leave, visit Bhujodi. It’s a craft village, full of weavers and artisans who make things by hand, just the way their grandparents did. The Vande Mataram Memorial Park here lets you relive India’s freedom journey through 4D experiences.  You walk out feeling proud, moved, and maybe a little emotional, which, honestly, is the best kind of ending for a trip like this.

Why You’ll Remember Kutch?

Kutch is not the kind of place where you tick off checklists of sightseeing. It is about the freedom that it provides to you in which you can think, feel or even exist without rush. The desert, the people, the silence, they all become a part of you even after you have gone.

And visiting here is more simple than before. With Indian Eagle flights, you can get your ticket at a cheap fare for the journey.

So if you are planning for a break from your busy lifestyle, then planning a trip to the Kutch region with affordable international flight bookings would be an excellent decision. Stand on that white land in the evening and see how different the world can feel.

Flight Cancellation Rules for Last Minute Flights

Last-minute travel booking is a thrill and a confusion. You feel excited about the last last-minute trip one minute, and the next, you’re wondering whether there are still any seats available or if airfares have doubled overnight. Perhaps it’s a last-minute business requirement, or family emergency whatever it could be.

Before you go and click Book Now in a hurry, you must understand how cancellation rules on flights work. Every booking platform determines the refund policy, what occurs when you cancel, and what you’ll get. Spending a few minutes reading before you book could spare you a lot of headaches and that surprise deduction later. Here is what you need to know before booking your last-minute flight to India or the USA.

Last-Minute Flight Bookings

Booking just a few days before departure is completely different. Airlines often charge more because the cheaper seats are long gone, and they know travelers booking late usually have to go. Plus, the rules around cancellations get a little tighter. That’s where people often get caught, the actual policies that no one really reads until it’s too late. And let’s be real, most travellers don’t read it either until a plan changes, and suddenly that non-refundable label hits harder than you thought.

Understanding your cancellation rights gives you comfort. It’s not about reading booking policies for fun,  it’s about knowing where you stand so you don’t end up paying for what you didn’t use.

Flight Cancellation Policies in India

Think of cancellation policies as a safety net for travelers. Every airline provides this but they’re not all the same.

When you book flights take a moment to read the cancellation and refund conditions, Know whether your ticket can be refunded or not and any charges you have. In cases of canceled or late flights, you can usually claim a payment. You’ll have to contact them and make a claim.

If you are booking ahead of your travel date, pay closer attention. The lower or discounted fare usually does not offer a refund at all. Occasionally paying a little extra for a flexible fare will prevent you from losing the entire ticket later.

Second, check the airline’s cancellation policy before you book your ticket, and opt for flexibility if there is even a remote possibility that your plans may change.

What to Know About Your Cancellation Rights?

If you’re booking a last-minute flight, whether it’s India to USA or the other international destination here’s a simple way to think about your rights:

Refunds: You may be refunded if your ticket is refundable, according to the policy of the airline. Even last-minute tickets occasionally qualify for part-refund.

Non-Refundable Tickets: Most low-cost tickets do not offer any refund, but exceptions include a medical condition or in the event that the airline cancels your flight.

Compensation: In case the flight is grossly delayed or canceled, you can be compensated by DGCA (India’s aviation body). Always approach the airline in person.

The golden rule is to always read policies of what you’re booking, even when time’s short. Two minutes of checking can save you hours of regret later.

Tips for Last-Minute Bookings

If you’re in a hurry to fly out, slow down just enough to do these few things right:

Read the  booking policies in detail.. It’s boring, but so is losing your refund.

Opt for flexible fares as  they cost a little more but you can experience a comfortable trip.

Check refund timelines as some airlines take weeks, others just days. It’s better to know upfront.

Small things like these make unplanned trips feel a lot less chaotic.

Booking a last-minute flight doesn’t mean giving up your rights. Knowing how the flight cancellation policy in India works is like having a quiet safety net under all that spontaneity. Read the airline policy, pick flexibility when you can, and understand your DGCA rights. A little awareness goes a long way in protecting your travel plans.

And if you’re looking for good last-minute deals, Indian Eagle has your back with affordable fares. We make sure you don’t just find a flight, you find a fair one.

Diwali or Deepavali, as some call it, is that time of year when families gather and share food, sweets, enjoy fireworks, and homes glow with diyas and joy. It’s the festival that celebrates light over darkness, and honestly, there’s nothing quite like how the Dallas-Fort Worth community turns it into a week-long, city-wide party. This year, Diwali falls between October 18th and October 23rd, but you’ll find events popping up all through fall. Here’s a look at what’s happening around Dallas Diwali Celebration.

Sanjh Diwali Prix-Fixe Dinner

If food is your main love language, go to Sanjh in the evening. Their Diwali dinner menu has the kind of flavors that make you stop talking for a second. There’s Kashmiri Mutton Rogan Josh and those mithai gift boxes that just look too nice to give away. Saffron barfi, rose laddoos, the good one.

Grand Meena Bazaar

Every Diwali has its own kind of magic, and the Grand Meena Bazaar catches it just right. It’s noisy and crowded and somehow still feels warm and welcoming. The glitter of bangles, the shimmer of silk, the soft hum of people chatting, everything slows down for a moment, like the whole place is breathing together.

When: October 5, 11 AM – 7 PM

Where: Minerva Banquet Hall, Plano

Sanjh Diwali High Tea

If you like your celebrations a bit fancy, Sanjh has this Diwali High Tea that’s a real treat. When: September 28 – November 21

Where: Sanjh Restaurant & Bar, Irving

Kids’ Diwali Celebration at BAPS Mandir

There are rides, food stalls, music, stilt walkers, and fireworks that feel like they could light up all of North Texas. This diwali celebration in Dallas is chaotic and crowded, but there’s so much energy that you just end up smiling through it.

When: October 18, 12 PM – 10 PM

When: October 26, 11 AM – 10 PM

Where: Kaleidoscope Park, Frisco

Southlake DiwaliFest

Southlake’s version of Diwali is the kind you go to just to feel good. Food stalls line the streets, kids run around with glow sticks, and you end up bumping into someone you haven’t seen since last year’s festival. The fireworks over Town Square are always worth staying for.

If you ever think deserts are dull, spend a year in Rajasthan. There’s hardly a month when this place isn’t celebrating something, a fair, a feast, a story. The music, the chaos, the smiles on people’s faces, it all feels larger than life. Here are a few famous festivals in Rajasthan which are celebrated in a way that show how alive this state really is.

List of Famous Festivals in Rajasthan

  1. Jaipur Literature Festival
  2. International Kite Festival
  3. Pushkar Camel Fair

  7. Matsya Festival
  8. Bundi Festival
  9. Kolayat Fair

Jaipur Literature Festival

Every winter, Jaipur’s air feels lighter. The old city turns into a playground for ideas. You’ll see writers sitting under tents, talking about books, art, politics and sometimes just about life. The festival isn’t fancy in the usual way; it’s open, buzzing, and oddly comforting.

Where: Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur

When: Jan 30 – Feb 3 2025

International Kite Festival

Mid-January, look up anywhere in Jodhpur and you’ll know the festival has begun. Kids yell across rooftops, strings cut across the sun, and the wind smells faintly of sesame sweets. The Polo Ground turns into a riot of color; some kites are so huge they’re dropped from helicopters.

Where: Polo Ground, Jodhpur

When: Jan 14 2025

Pushkar Camel Fair

Pushkar in late October doesn’t sleep. At this camel festival in Rajasthan, traders arrive with camels dressed like brides, folk bands play through the night, and the dunes shimmer with bonfire light. This is one of the famous festivals in Rajasthan where you can find bargaining, laughter, and a kind of rhythm only the desert knows.

Where: Pushkar

When: Oct 30 – Nov 5 2025

Elephant Festival

Holi in Jaipur starts early with this parade. Elephants are painted, jeweled, and trained before they march through the Polo Grounds. There’s music, there’s dust, there’s that strange mix of power and gentleness elephants always bring.

Where: Jaipur Polo Grounds

Teej

Teej belongs to the women of Rajasthan. When the first rains touch the city, they sing old songs, dress in bright green, and swing from trees decorated with flowers. Jaipur turns festive, the streets smell of Ghewar, and everyone seems to slow down just to watch.

Where: Jaipur

Chandrabhaga Fair

Before sunrise in Jhalrapatan, thousands gather at the riverbank. Some come to pray, others to trade cattle, most just to be part of something ancient. By nightfall, this is a festival celebrated in Rajasthan with tiny diyas floating downstream. The scene is quiet, golden, and almost unreal.

Where: Jhalrapatan, Jhalawar

Matsya Festival

This is one of the famous festivals in Rajasthan. One moment you’re watching folk dancers, and the next someone’s gliding past you in a hot-air balloon. The Matsya Festival mixes tradition with a bit of adrenaline, kind of Rajasthan’s way of saying history doesn’t have to stand still.

Where: Alwar

When: Nov 26 2025

Bundi Festival

Bundi’s old streets glow during its three-day festival. Locals paint doors, hang lanterns, and host contests that sound straight out of a storybook. This famous festival in Rajasthan is explored in a little messy, loud, and full of charm.

Where: Bundi

When: Nov 18 – 20 2025

Kolayat Fair

At sunset in Kolayat, thousands of lamps drift across the lake. Families whisper prayers to Sage Kapil Muni; the water mirrors the fire, and everything feels slowed down, calm but alive. It’s not grand, just quietly beautiful.

Where: Kolayat, Bikaner

When: Nov 27 – 28 2025

Kumbhalgarh Festival

Imagine sitting inside a 15th-century fort, surrounded by mountains, while dancers spin and drums roll. That’s the Kumbhalgarh Festival. It’s art meeting architecture, raw, dramatic, and unforgettable.

Where: Kumbhalgarh Fort, Udaipur District

When: Dec 1 – 3 2025

Kabir Yatra

This one doesn’t have a fixed stage. Musicians and travelers move from one village to another near Bikaner, singing the verses of Saint Kabir. People join in, share food, sing back. No lights, no ticket lines,  just pure connection under an open sky.

Where: Around Bikaner

Which festival in Rajasthan should I not miss at all?

Are these festivals open to tourists, or are they mainly local events?

Almost all of them are open to visitors. Rajasthan treats travelers like extended family during festivals. You can join in, click photos, taste the food, or simply watch.

What should I pack if I’m visiting during a festival?

If you plan to attend Holi or Teej, pack something you don’t mind staining with color. And don’t forget sunscreen. The desert sun loves to surprise you.

Passengers flying domestically should arrive two hours prior; international passengers require three.  Boarding flows like a river carved by fare class and chosen loyalty. Basic Economy drifts last, while families and those needing a gentler current board early. Know your current, claim your overhead aisle, and sail smoothly to your seat.

Baggage Policies

Baggage policies on American Airlines vary by ticket type. Basic Economy includes one personal item only, and carry-on bags cost extra. Standard Economy allows both one carry-on and one personal item for free. Checked bags start at $35 if paid online (or $40 at the airport) for the first bag on domestic flights. Each bag can weigh up to 50 pounds and measure up to 62 inches total dimensions. Fees increase for additional bags and higher weight or oversized luggage, ranging between $100 and $200 depending on weight and route. Elite members may get extra baggage allowances. Paying for bags during online check-in often saves money and avoids surprises.

Seat Selection

Seat selection on American Airlines varies by fare class. Passengers holding Basic Economy tickets receive seat assignments upon check-in, without the option to select prior. Main Cabin and higher fare classes permit seat selection during booking or at subsequent stages. Ever felt like your legs were auditioning for a circus act during a flight? Upgrade to Premium Economy, aka Main Cabin Extra, and grant those limbs some freedom. With seats that recline more than your office chair and outlets to keep your gadgets begging for mercy, plus front-row boarding, you’ll fly like a VIP, even if you still watch your feet on takeoff.

Loyalty Programs and Upgrades

If you’re part of American Airlines’ AAdvantage program, you’ll know there are four elite levels you can reach: Gold, Platinum, Platinum Pro, and Executive Platinum. As you climb the ranks, you get bigger perks, such as more bonus miles, boarding earlier in the group line, and checking more bags for free. You can even get free upgrades on many domestic and some international flights. And if you fly long-distance internationally, systemwide upgrades are yours to buy or earn. Your perks don’t end there and extend to other Oneworld partner airlines too.

In-Flight Experience

Wi-Fi hums across most flights, connecting travelers to the world even at 35,000 feet, though costs shift with every route. Free movies and TV shows, along with messaging options on select flights, create hours of entertainment. Snacks and drinks are free in the Main Cabin. Premium snacks are available for purchase on long-haul flights. Pillow for your head. Water bottle for refreshment. Headphones for entertainment. Each detail adds up to a comfortable, smooth, immersive journey.

Airport Lounges

When you find yourself at the airport with time to spare, seek refuge in the American Airlines Admirals Club. Whether you hold a membership, a select credit card, or a same-day premium ticket, this oasis awaits you. Invite your cohorts, one, two, yet tread lightly on the threshold of access. Elevate upwards, where cabins transcend mere class, and Flagship enclaves whisper of feasts and cleansing rites. Here, time becomes a still brushstroke, capturing moments of calm that ripple beyond layovers. Your voyage begins in the silence after.

Fees and Change Policies

American Airlines’ Basic Economy tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable except within 24 hours of booking when purchased at least two days before departure. Higher economy and premium fares permit changes, sometimes with fees. Most refundable domestic and Mexico/Caribbean tickets have a $200 change fee. To avoid costly change fees, take advantage of elite status or premium cabin travel where fee exemptions apply. Staying informed about fare conditions empowers you to manage your trip adjustments effortlessly and without surprises.

Special Services

A tiny puppy curls up in your lap as you settle into your seat, while a larger dog rests safely in cargo below. A young traveler, aged seven, beams with excitement on a direct flight, confident in the unaccompanied minor program. Nearby, crew members help a passenger with a wheelchair, while another uses ASL interpretation. Every traveler finds comfort and safety here.

Conclusion

A trip with American Airlines doesn’t have to be a hassle. Show up on time, pack wisely, grab the seat you want, and don’t forget your loyalty perks. A little planning, and suddenly, your flight is easy, comfy, and even a little fun.

If you’re planning your next American Airlines flight from the USA to India, you can also find affordable tickets. Indian Eagle flight deals make it easier to save while booking a smooth and comfortable journey.

India, a diverse country, is known for its rich cultural heritage, numerous architectural gems, wonderful natural sites, ancient cities, and various eye-catching tourist spots. From the Taj Mahal (one of the seven wonders), and Golden Temple (religious place) to 40 UNESCO world heritage sites, India has everything to attract tourists and visitors across the globe. There are numerous famous landmarks in India that make the county one of the most popular tourist destinations.

With Indian Eagle, there’s no second-guessing what the final price will be. A traveler from San Francisco recalled checking other websites for a December flight to Chennai, only to find the total fare jumped by hundreds at checkout. Indian Eagle’s price was the same from start to finish, with no hidden charges and no sudden extras. For travelers booking USA to India flights with Indian Eagle, such transparency has become a reason to return.

How Indian Eagle Puts Travelers’ Needs First

When travelers reach out, Indian Eagle customer service starts by listening. They want to know the purpose of the trip before suggesting anything.

Last summer, a student from New Jersey reached out to book her very first trip to the U.S. for grad school. The agent could have gone with the first available flight, but instead checked multiple options, found extra baggage space, and suggested a stopover that cut the price. She ended up with a ticket that was both affordable and right for her.

How Indian Eagle Handles Last-Minute Travel Disruptions

Even the best plans can hit turbulence. A businessman from Dallas was set to fly to Mumbai for his sister’s wedding when his first leg to New York was canceled due to a storm. While everyone else was stuck in line, Indian Eagle was already sorting out his next move. In under two hours, they had him on a new flight, and he made it to Mumbai right in time for his sister’s big moment.

Another frequent flyer shared how Indian Eagle flight deals helped him secure a ticket during the holiday rush when most options were out of reach. It wasn’t just about price; it was about being able to get there when it mattered most.

How Indian Eagle Adds Value After the Ticket Is Bought

Indian Eagle’s relationship with travelers doesn’t end with a ticket confirmation. Through Travel Beats, it keeps the community updated on things that matter, from new non-stop routes like San Francisco–Bengaluru to reminders about carrying sweets and pickles in checked luggage to avoid security delays.

One reader said the site’s guide on “Avoiding Missed Connections in Doha” helped her breeze through Hamad International on a busy December evening. And for those in urgent situations, Indian Eagle last-minute deals have often been the difference between making it on time and missing the moment.

Financial Planning Tips for Returning NRIs

A return to India is more than a flight; it’s a transition. Many returning NRIs benefit from planning ahead: sorting banking transfers with minimal fees, comparing currency exchange options, understanding how long your foreign accounts can remain open, and budgeting for temporary accommodation or transportation upon arrival. Indian Eagle’s Travel Beats can share periodic tips like: “Is now a favorable time to repatriate funds?” or “Best practices for carrying foreign currency vs. INR.” Our goal is to make your return not just smooth in journey but financially smart from start to finish.

Smart Investment Strategies for Expats

If your money sits in different currencies or you are earning abroad while thinking of investing back home, a little planning goes a long way. You can start a SIP, put money into NRI-focused options like NRE/NRO accounts, mutual funds, or bonds, or even try fractional shares. Indian Eagle connects you with recent Travel Beats articles that highlight trusted banks, safe platforms, and regulatory changes to keep your investments on track.

Why Indian Expats Choose Indian Eagle Again and Again

Because the fares are attractive, but that is not the only reason travelers return. They know that in life’s most important moments, they will not be alone. It might be the rush to join family for Diwali, or the urgency of getting to a hospital in time to hold a loved one’s hand.

For Indian expats juggling life across two continents, Indian Eagle is not just a place to buy tickets; it’s a safety net, a problem-solver, and a quiet reassurance that their journey will be looked after from start to finish.

Indian Eagle Makes Family Reunions Easier for Expats

For expats, every trip home is an important decision shaped by travel costs, time management, and the goal of creating lasting family memories. At Indian Eagle, we value these moments deeply. Whether it is flying back for Diwali or meeting loved ones after years apart, we make flight booking simpler, faster, and affordable. While we do not provide visa services, our team shares helpful guidance such as choosing flexible fares or routing through airports with smoother immigration to make your return home stress-free.

If Malibu wasn’t the answer, where would you go to find a treasure where the golden sunsets linger, and the ocean kisses the mountains? Now you know: Malibu. Malibu reminds you of sun-drenched beaches, winding coastal roads, and the easy-going charm of California. If you’re wondering what are the things to do in Malibu? Glad you are here, Malibu is not just a pretty place but a vibe, a story, and a thrilling adventure waiting to be discovered; why not go take that leap?

Imagine starting your day with the sound of waves crashing against the shore, your feet sinking into the soft sand as pelicans fly overhead. The salty air wraps around you while surfers carve through the water like artists on a canvas. That’s Malibu at sunrise—a promise that the day ahead will be magical.

Bask on the Iconic Malibu Beaches

You cannot discuss things to do in Malibu, CA  without the beaches, as the list starts at Zuma Beach and El Matador State Beach, one of the most romantic beaches along the coastline. Both are widely known as the most scenic and picturesque beaches to be at during golden hour. Grab a book, some snacks, and your best friends, Malibu has its own charm when the sun kisses your face. Don’t be shy; it’s public, so go take a plunge  and let the Pacific ocean do its magic.

Drive along the Pacific Coast Highway

Few adventures equal the rush of driving on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) with the top off, the ocean to your right, and rolling hills to your left. This iconic drive isn’t so much about arriving somewhere—it’s about taking in the views, pulling over at scenic lookouts, and perhaps grabbing a snack at the iconic Malibu Farm Café on the pier.

Hike with a View

If you’ve been wondering, what is there to do in Malibu beyond the beach?, the hikes here will delight you. Solstice Canyon has a moderate hike through greenery, which terminates at the remnants of an old stone home and a waterfall. Escondido Falls or Malibu Creek State Park for breathtaking views of the coast will leave you gasping (in the best possible way).

Indulge in the Local Cuisine

Malibu’s cuisine is as fresh as its ocean air. It’s having wine at Malibu Wines, eating seafood at Geoffrey’s Malibu, or stopping by a beachside stand for tacos. Here, the flavor is as much a part of the journey as the view. Sun-setting dinners over the water here are not just dining experiences—Sometimes, they become memories.

Discover Malibu’s Cultural Side

Aside from the beaches, Malibu also has its portion of history and culture. The Adamson House and Malibu Lagoon Museum give visitors a glimpse of the area’s rich history. The Getty Villa, with its exquisite architecture and art galleries, is a motivational visit for people who love history.

Shop and Stroll at Malibu Country Mart

For a more relaxed but stylish experience, stroll around Malibu Country Mart. From boutique stores, quaint cafes, to a hint of bohemian chic, it’s an excellent area to unwind between adventures.

Watch a Malibu Sunset

Before you go, be sure to stay until sunset. From the pier, the beach, or a cliff-top vantage, viewing the sky darken into a work of art in shades of pink, gold, and purple is the ideal way to end the day.

Planning Your Trip to Malibu

If you’re traveling from India and Malibu is on your wish list, then you’re lucky. With Indian Eagle cheap flights, your trip to California can be affordable and comfortable as well. New US Visa Rules with Mandatory Bond for Travelers
Source: freepik

Tourists planning to travel to the United States might soon have an extra cost to incur. The US government has revived a former policy which would make it mandatory for some visa applicants to pay a bond of up to $15,000 prior to receiving their US visa. It is one of the new US visa rules of pilot programs intended to cut down on visa overstays, especially from countries with large numbers of visitors who overstay their visa.

The new rules for US visas propose that visitors seeking B-1 (business) and B-2 (tourism) visas can be required to pay a bond of between $5,000 and $15,000. The policy is specifically aimed at applicants from nations with high visa overstay rates, poor document security systems, or those providing Citizenship by Investment with no residency.

New Visa Rules USA

The new regulations for US visa applicants are part of a larger program to guarantee that visitors depart the country before their visa has expired. A number of countries have been marked by the US government for excessive overstay violations, and this bond system serves as financial insurance. If the visitor follows the terms of the visa and departs on schedule, the bond should be returned. The bond, though, will be lost if the individual overstays or violates the new US visa rules.

The rules focus mainly on B-1 and B-2 visa applicants who are nationals of countries that are selected for their high visa overstay rates. They will be listed by the Department of State prior to the commencement of the program. Visitors from Visa Waiver Program (VWP) nations will be exempt. In addition, individual consular officers will also be able to determine whether or not a bond is warranted for each applicant. Exceptions can be made on an individual’s record, history, or level of connection to his or her native country.

Effect of New Visa Rule on Indian Travelers

While the new US visa rules for India have not been officially announced , visitors coming from India should remain informed. India is not typically included in the list of countries with extremely high visa overstay rates, but any future announcements from the US Department of State could modify this. If applied to Indian citizens, this regulation would make international travel to the US costlier. For Indian tourists who buy international flight tickets, it will be necessary to know about this bond requirement when planning trips.

Changes in Other Visa Policies

This is among many new rules for visa in the USA adopted recently. Based on the new rules:

  • More visa renewals now demand face-to-face interviews.
  • Visa Diversity Lottery participants need to present valid passports from their country of origin.
  • Several previous exemptions to facilitate visa processing have been eliminated.
  • These changes aim to strengthen security and boost the credibility of the US immigration system.

If you are planning to apply for a US visa, stay updated on the new US visa rules issued by the Department of State. Know whether your country falls into the list affected by the bond program. If India is included, travelers should plan accordingly and possibly adjust their travel dates or budgets.

If you are planning to travel soon then check out Indian Eagle deals to experience affordable travel. Flexibility in traveling plans and understanding of recent changes in visas will save you from last-minute hassles.
