American Airlines has announced the rollout of electronic boarding gates at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The new system will begin deployment this summer at the airline’s largest hub following a successful pilot program conducted in November 2025.

The technology will be introduced in the new Terminal C Pier Expansion at DFW, with additional installations planned across Terminals A and C as part of the airport’s ongoing modernization project. With this initiative, American Airlines will be the first major U.S. network carrier to deploy electronic boarding gates at scale in a major hub.
