India’s INS Sudarshini among Sail250 ships USA<\/strong><\/h3>\n
One of the most interesting highlights for Indian Americans is the participation of INS Sudarshini in America\u2019s Sail250 events. Based in Kochi, Kerala, INS Sudarshini is a three-masted sail training ship of the Indian Navy. Commissioned in 2012, the vessel is used to train naval cadets in traditional seamanship, navigation, leadership, and teamwork. The 177-foot ship carries 20 sails and represents India at major international maritime events around the world.<\/p>\n
During Sail4th 250, INS Sudarshini is expected to be docked at Brooklyn Bridge Park alongside vessels from other participating nations. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the ship up close and, during designated public visiting hours, board the vessel and interact with its crew. For Indian Diaspora, it will be a rare chance to see an Indian Navy sailing ship participate in one of the biggest international events ever organized in the USA.<\/p>\n

Most Sail250 events are free and open to the public. Many waterfront viewing areas, cultural programs, and public ship tours will not require an admission fee. However, advance registration may be required for certain tall ship tours due to expected demand, especially during Sail4th 250 in New York and New Jersey.<\/p>\n
