Dr. Raj Iyer is one of the highest ranking civilians in the Department of <\/b>Defense<\/b><\/span><\/span>.<\/b> Prior to taking over as the US Army\u2019s first-ever CIO, he served as the principal advisor to the Secretary of the Army and represented the Secretary in matters pertaining to information management. His new designation is now equivalent to the rank of a three-star General.<\/p>\n
