The new transit visa permits free entry to Qatar for a stay of 5 to 96 hours. All transiting passengers of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianeagle.com\/flights\/airline\/qatar-airways-qr-deals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Qatar Airways flights from USA to India<\/span><\/a><\/strong> and on other routes through Doha can apply for it, regardless of their nationalities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Announced in late September this year, <strong>the free 4-day transit visa is a tourist-friendly initiative by Qatar Tourism Authority and Qatar Airways in collaboration<\/strong>. It is expected to popularize Qatar as a tourist-friendly destination and get more international travelers. Approval of all visa applications is subject to the sole discretion of Qatar\u2019s Ministry of Interior.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indianeagle.com\/travelbeats\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Details-of-New-Four-day-Free-Transit-Visa-to-Qatar-for-Qatar-Airways-International-Passengers.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-15201 size-full\" title=\"Details of New 4-day Free Transit Visa to Qatar for Qatar Airways\u2019 International Passengers\" src=\"https:\/\/www.indianeagle.com\/travelbeats\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Details-of-New-Four-day-Free-Transit-Visa-to-Qatar-for-Qatar-Airways-International-Passengers.jpg\" alt=\"transit visa to Qatar, Qatar Airways flights, visa for Hamad airport, IndianEagle travel\" width=\"654\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The new free transit visa to Qatar can be applied for online or at Qatar Airways\u2019 offices. <strong>Qatar Airways has revised its fares for all international flights having layovers in Doha to woo international tourists with the new visa scheme.<\/strong> Travelers can have a layover at Hamad Airport for 96 hours and make the most of the new transit visa without paying any additional fee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>However, the free transit visa to Qatar comes with an exception.<\/strong> Those traveling on Qatar Airways\u2019 outbound flights from Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, South Sudan and the UAE can have the new visa for free stopover in Doha only during the outward journey. The facility is not available on the return.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>New Free Transit Visa to Qatar: Eligibility Requirements and Conditions<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Qatar Airways\u2019 all transiting passengers including infants must have individual passports with minimum 6-month validity from the time of arrival in Qatar.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">A vivid copy of one\u2019s passport must be submitted along with one\u2019s application at a Qatar Airways office or through the airline\u2019s website.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Applications for the new visa will be processed within 7 business days (excluding public holidays).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The\u00a04-day free transit visa to Qatar will remain valid for 90 days or 3 months from the date of issuance for a single entry only.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The validity of the visa cannot be extended beyond 90 days.
