Finally, Mrs Mishra along with two sons joined Mr Mishra in New York, without knowing that a tragedy was impending behind bubble-like glamor of the American Dream.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Brought up in Edison in the state of New Jersey, Akhil Sharma is an assistant professor of English at Rutgers University.<\/strong> His first novel \u2018An Obedient Father\u2019 won the Hemingway Award for debut fiction. And the award went to Akhil Sharma\u2019s Family Life from the shortlist of 10 titles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Indian American writer Akhil Sharma is a known face in the print media of the United States. <strong>Some of his short stories, including \u2018Mother and Son\u2019 and \u2018Cosmopolitan\u2019 made the way to the Best American Short Stories anthology and the anthology of O.
