Indian American scientists and researchers are on a roll.<\/strong> Recently, 6 Indian American engineers and scientists grabbed attention for being on President Barack Obama\u2019s shortlist of 106 winners for the Presidential Early Career Awards. Before global media took its spotlight off them, seven more Indian Americans came to the fore as recipients of the 2016 Sloan Research Fellowship. The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation published a shortlist of 126 achievers including 7 Indian American researchers from the US and Canada<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Since 1955, the Sloan Research Fellowship has been awarded to the most outstanding and promising achievers among early-career scholars in science and technology. The fellowship recognizes them as scientific leaders and honors their achievements.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
