In reply to Nani. Hi Sukanya! If your itinerary does not require you to step out of the transit area at London Heathrow Airport, you don't need a transit visa. No transit visa is required if you stay airside during transit. If you are fully vaccinated and have proof of vaccination, you don't need to take a pre-departure RT-PCR test.

Hi,

I am travelling to USA from Chennai via British airways with a stop over at London Heathrow airport and then to Washington DC. and am a valid H1B visa holder with Indian Passport and am fully vaccinated. I have 2 questions.
1. Should I take a UK transit visa to land in London and then take a connecting flight to DC?
2. Should I take an RT test to land in London or to reach my final destination which is Washington DC.

In reply to Milaben. Hi Milaben! Both the 4-year-old and the 1-year-old don't need to take an RT-PCR test before departure and after arrival. They are exempt to taking the test.

Hello I am traveling from Usa to Mumbai with my family of 4 two adult( fully Vaccinated with booster shots) 1 four years old and 1 one year old, so do my 4 year old has to carry negative covid test for this trip and we are coming via Paris for flight change in Paris with layover time in Paris is 3 hours, so do we need to retake covid test at Mumbai airport/

Are these current restrictions still in place? I am an Indian passport holder and will be travelling to the USA with a valid F1 Student Visa in August. I have booked a ticket via British Airways with a layover at London. Will I be allowed to board the flight or not?

Have you had anyone with Indian passport travel on British Airways or Lufthansa post 27th March? Just want to confirm that I can book tickets with these two airlines for my parents who hold Indian passports with valid US visa to travel from Mumbai to US.
