Hi Anand! You’re right. Having a valid OCI card, you don’t need a transit visa or any other permit for 2-hour airside transit at Munich Airport. Thank you for choosing Indian Eagle as your trusted travel-booking partner! Wish you a safe and happy trip!

I am Anand Shetty
I am a US citizen and a OCI holder. I have booked my ticket with Indian eagle travelling in April via Munich (2 hours wait). Do I need ETA travel document. After reading some documents, I concluded that at Munich, I am within airside. Therefore, i am not required to produce ETA documents. Border control doesn’t come into play. Am I right.
Thank you very much.

Hi Venkat! Even if you have a valid Green Card or a Canadian PR, you need a short-term Schengen visa for two Schengen layovers in your itinerary. As far as the ETA (electronic travel authorization) is concerned, you don’t need it for EU airports until EU implements this.

Do I need a ETA ? Do France and Germany also implemented the same? Any idea? When I check online it says PR holders are excepted for these two airports. Please confirm
