I declared and its just 80gm of gold jewellery and we are two passengers (mother and daughter). They made me pay ithe import tax and it happened just yesterday!

Please provide more details on “import up to 1 kg of gold in your carry-on bag on international flights to India from USA.” it works be noted that it is subject to duty and we might end up paying hefty taxes. I wish u provided more insight into it.
