Actually VFS is the best service. If you follow their instruction and check list than the process is smooth. Ofcourse they charge for the phone calls. I just had my Indian passport renewed via VFS in Bay Area, CA and I got my renewed passport back within four weeks.

So just follow patiently their instruction and check list.

Indian consulate is worse in the whole world , never want to help India abroad they trouble people so much .
Vfs and India. Consulate both harass people no integrity , no ownership, no accountability nothing. Very pathetic service in the USA Houston
