Hi,
I have an Indian passport and a valid F-1 visa. My flight is from NYC to Mykonos via London-Heathrow. British Airways confirmed I will have to go through immigration, but my bags will be checked to my final destination and I am not going to be changing terminals in London. Do I need a transit visa?

I am an Indian passport holder traveling from Bengaluru to the USA via London on a single itinerary. I hold a valid US B1/B2 visa. I arrive in terminal 5 and depart from terminal 3 heathrow ariport and the layover is for 20 hours. I land on 26th July 1:15pm and I depart on 27th July 9:15pm. is there a transit visa required ?

In reply to Aravind Parthasarathy. HI Aravind! If your checked baggage is automatically transferred from T3 to T4, you can change the terminal without going through the immigration/border control. In that case, you don't need an airport transit visa.

Hi I am an Indian citizen with a valid US F1 visa. I have a flight from US to Oman and i will have a 14 hrs layover in London. I will be landing in London at 6:25 AM and my flight is at 8:50 PM. I will also be changing my terminal to catch flights from T3 to T4. Do i need a transit visa? Can Someone please help me out!!

In reply to indianeagle. If you’re leaving the US to back to India on virgin Atlantic via LHR, your F1 and I-20 validity is also ending around the same time. Do u still need a transit visa if my flying ban to my home country ?

In reply to Bk. Hi Shukla! The probability is higher that you don't need an airport transit visa for transfer from T5 to T3. The airline could better say whether your itinerary has airside or landside connection at London Heathrow.

I am traveling from DEL to Philadelphia passing through LHR. We arrive at terminal 5 on British airways at LHR and have to go to terminal 3 for our next flight on American Airlines. The layover is 2.5 hours. We have unexpired US Visa and Indian passport. Would we require a transit visa in LHR? The flights were booked together through British airways. Would 2.5 hours be enough? Would this be an airside transit connection, or landslide? Thanks
